Same tournament as here.

Start of the tournament at 2nd level with blinds 200/400/400. All stacks are plus minus equal @ 60k (150BB).

Cutt Off opens to 1k.

Hero in the small blind with J10 makes the call.

BB comes along.

Flop:

J 63

Hero checks.

BB checks.

Cut Off bets 2.5k (Pot: 3.4k)

Hero calls.

BB calls.

Turn: 7

Hero checks.

BB donks 5k (Pot: 8.4k)

Cut Off raises to 21k (Pot: 13.4k)

Hero?

I fold here due to RIO, and the good chance that 1 V has a better flush draw and 1 V has a better made hand -- leaving you in a very bad spot. It is possible that you are ahead, or have the best draw, but I don't think the chances this is true merits comitting 1.2 your stack and then perhaps losing it all when you "hit".

Heads-up, I am never folding top pair and a flush draw with that board. Against two players and this action, sigh fold as it smells like a better draw and a made hand, probably a set, to me too.

If BB has 54 it would be a disaster because if we called on the turn, BB would raise.

The chances of you being ahead right now are slim. Though I do think we have the only flush draw. I don't see why BB would semi-bluff donk the turn with a flush draw. And Villain wouldn't raise vs 2 players with only a flush draw.

Still I fold here. Sometimes we win but I think we have 14 outs at most and probably 9 if BB has 54. Also if we call here and BB shoves and Villain folds we wouldn't be getting the right price to call.

Also, Villains raise sizing is bad. At over 33% effective stack it is pot committing if lets say BB calls and then shoves the river. In position I think he should have made it 15k (especially if he has QQ+ so he can fold to a jam).

54 of spades would be a real kick in the balls- V turns nuts in addition to oesf and two blockers.

I think BB has 67 a decent amount, and some 54 also.

How convenient we have a thread about 3-bet strategies by stack size-- at this depth you can 3-bet more linearly, and the combination of your hand and position is a good one for it. 4500 to go sounds right to me.

As played, not closing the action here I think you need to fold. You're never ahead, and BB could definitely have 54 and stick in another raise after you call.
