This is over 6.5k games.
I want to share this with others, so hopefully you also could achieve a nice profit. And an
None of these are absolutes btw.

1) Blind steaing is not worth early.

In cash games blindstealing is vital for your winrate, but in sngs, what for? The 1,5 bb you will gain worths less that the at least 3 bb you will lose if you get caught.

2) continuation bet is overrated (lots of loose passive players)

dont't abuse continuation bet. pick your spots, dont cbet like a robot. checking the flop can be good in the right spot.

3) don play speculative hands from oop

You must be already aware of this but is worth to say. it is easy to be tempted to call with some marginal speculative hands in multiway raisd pots. this is a trap. but if you still want to do it, dont stay beyond the flop unless you really hit a strong hand (two bottom pair are not that strong). Also, dont overestimate your implied odds in those spots.

4) No need to make many elegant moves.

A common mistake I tend to fall into in my early trials. Usually once you find someone foding too much you start playing too many bad hands with the hopes to outplay, aka overconfident in your reading skills.

5) You are pretty much ok always playing as if you were against one standard opponent.

Once you have defined what the average payer is, you define your default game and then start from there to make the proper adjustments to play different opponents. Usually adjustments are very slight. Things like "completely changing your game" are not really useful.

But what is the standard opponent?
Well, imo, the two predominant players at these stakes are the loose passive and weak tight. You will find lags and tags, however. It is important to spot all these players properly. But again, adjustments are slight. It is not a 360 degree change from one to other. If you are opening you range against a weak tight, do it slightly; if you are opening your caling range against a lag, do it slightly.

Well, thats a little bit from the top of my mind aorn, and I hope it helps. I am sure I dont have te whole truth though, so constructive comments are welcome.

Thanks for the post. Very helpfull. Maybe it will help control some of the swings I have. I play at this exact stake and 6-max as well. I like the 11's better than the 5's. Seem to be less stations.

Why would you ever want less stations?

How many buy in's do you think you need before moving up levels?

If your multitabling then you need more Buyins to move to a new level most ppl say you should have 20-30 Buyins for the givin level you are playing however when do you move up will that can be quiet tricky however the is a easy calculation that may help you

It called floor and ceiling

Floor: this is the lowest your Bank roll can be before you move down a level
Ceiling: this is when you move up to the next level and it is based on a minimum buy in for the next level

I like to work on 20 Buyins for my floor and 30 Buyins of the next level before I will move ie

Example:
You have $300 in you account your initial buy in would be $11 SNG ($11x 30)
If you where to go below 20 Buyins or $220 you then drop back to the lower level
In order to move up which is $22 SNG you would need $660 (30x $22) to move up

Hope this helps you

I use a pretty strict bankroll management. I usually played 10nl FR, 12 tabling. I wanted to start playing 6 max so I started playing 6 max stt's. Wanted to start small and get the hang of it. Now I can play 6 at a time and I've been playing the $3's.

I had my best session yesterday: 1st, 1st, 1st, 1st, 2nd, and 5th.

After reading this thread I've decided that I need to move up in levels.
