kk's is this avoidable ? kk's is this avoidable ?

Flip a coin. If it lands on heads, shove. If it lands on tails, shove. Profit.

The odds of KK running into AA is 4.4% (or 21.8:1). Flatting can be fine in some settings, however in a donkament like this you will get paid off by worse than AA easily enough of the time for it to be EV+ to ship it.

Dereds is completely right about some of the responses in this thread and its been happening a lot in this forum.

OP wp very standard

I think this is the first thread where i've actually seen someone put up some numbers as to why you should never fold KK preflop. Legit responses ITT wow...

this thread deserves trolling.
i mean if you have a hud, and it says he's 3betting ~13% in situations like this, it's hard to see how you can be dumb enough to think you can not want to get KK in for ~40bbs.
and OP called somebody that was clearly defending him a prick...

EDIT: just realised most people don't have their hud configured to show '3bet from sb', don't make too much difference though.

Theres really no way of avoiding a KK vs. AA showdown. I was going to try to come up with a good analogy to follow that up with, but I'm not.
Goodbye.

Such a dumb response. As if you should fold KK pre more often when the stakes are higher. Probably less if any.

When I'm talking about micros, don't make the assumption that I'm saying hsmtts are the opposite.

On another note, **** you

You said he should never fold because it's low stakes, but the stakes are irrelevent as too whether he should fold or not. Thus you made a dumb response.
06-24-2010 , 05:56 PM
the stakes are very relevant...saying never fold KK pre ever no matter what the buy-in or who you're playing against is so stupid.

Saying, never fold KK pre in micro tournaments actually makes sense.

If you're playing 5NL with a $50 stack I can imagine a situation where it's okay to fold KK pf.

If you're playing 500NL with a $500 stack I can not imagine a situation where it's okay to fold KK pf.

The only thing that matters is how deep you are.

Furthermore, at the higher stakes play is more aggresive so it's probably less likely you'll be in a situation where you should fold KK.

There's no shame in admitting you said something foolish you know.

That's a bit harsh for a new poster, though I wouldn't object moving hands like this to the designated BBV thread.

wp gg

Can't we just move this to the BBV forum?
