Hey guys,

Wanted to quickly introduce myself to the 2+2 community.

The name's Jomo...and I'm a 27 year old Internet marketer and video blogger.

I've been playing poker off and on for around 11 years. In January 2014, I got a staking deal (thanks to the 2+2 forum) and have been playing strictly low-mid stakes MTTs for the last few months.

I've been video blogging for the last 5 years, but never felt comfortable sharing anything about my interest in poker. To be honest, it was something I was ashamed of sharing because most people I knew looked down upon the game and never understood how it could be a viable career path.

When I got into video blogging 5 years ago, I actually took a few years off from poker because of the lack of belief in the industry that was projected onto me...and stuck to blogging about things many people could relate to...inspirational ideas, personal growth and traveling experiences.

Over the years, I've strived to keep things positive and inspirational. It's been extremely rewarding to share my experiences and connect with others who could relate, however my hopes of turning that inspiration into a viable career path have been stunted by various inner conflicts. Perhaps my unexpressed desire to pursue my poker passions was part of that.

At the other end of the spectrum, since getting back into poker, my passion for video blogging has significantly diminished, likely because it was an aspect of my life I felt ashamed to share. It seemed to have cut off the flow of inspiration because I was unwilling to share what I was going through because it felt "un-inspirational" or unrelatable.

However, I recently realized that there's a way to merge the best of both worlds...to find the balance between the 2 sides (intense focus/discipline and inspirational, free-spirited optimism).

Through the continued inspiration of a few like-minded video bloggers, notably Evan Jarvis and Jason Somerville, I've found it within myself to share about my poker experience and create a Youtube channel specifically to share poker strategy, tips, hand histories and inspiration.

I just posted my very first video to open up and share my story...and felt the first place I'd share it would be a community who gets poker.

I will warn you...it's a bit lengthy...but I'm sure it will inspire those of you who find it interesting and worth watching.

One final note before I sign off, that I even mention in the video...

I've always resisted getting involved in forums and have only used 2+2 recently for staking opportunities. I will say that I am open to getting more involved in the 2+2 forums, through contributing videos, strategy and life/poker balance to the conversations, if inspiration strikes.

If you'd like to learn more about me and connect further, you can check out my blog at (removed) and find all my social media links there as well.

Thank you for your time.

Cheers,
Jomo
