Forgive me if this is covered elsewhere but it seems as though many accounts in various countries were closed/money cashed out involuntarily etc this morning with very little information.

I am sure by the time anyone reads this, everything will be clear, but I figured I would start the thread to see if anyone knew anything.

Just got off the phone with 888 even though my account hasn't been disabled. The woman seemed to have zero idea what was going on regarding the accounts. She said she has no knowledge of 888 leaving Mexico or Canadian markets and suggested that anyone whose account has been disabled to call in. The support number is +12684844868 and its $.33 per minute to call from Skype. Good luck out there.

Maybe they finally realized that like 200 americans are vpning over there and now panicked and closed a bunch of accounts to investigate.

ya that might be the case altho some ppl that never lived in the US are having probs with their account today. but ya I guess if Americans were VPNing, it would be on accounts with foreign identities, most likely.

This is just so weird. Some ppl got cash outs automatically. Some need to send bank info. Some might have gotten confiscated. Makes no sense.

888 support says there is zero issue with mexico and canada

i got the same emails from 888, luckyace and 848poker who are all part of the 888network. All mexican.

So far it seems to be ex-American players. Im in Canada and didn't get one.

I called and the lady told me she cant hlep me over the phone that ih ave to deal with it over email and they take 72 hours to respond hahaah wtf?

People on twitter suggesting that 888 got hacked. Better not give any bankinfo out.

Also a friend of mine can't receive transfers either and he's irish.

Mastermind setup for them to have the fake phone lines ready to go and no one from 888 support mentioning it.

Better safe than sorry right?
