$800 buy-in online. Villain is market as suspect (mean, they did a few things that we didn't like), not labelled as a bad player yet. They 3 bet large with a small pp vs an UTG open.

We have 90BB
Villain has 31BB
avg. is around 35BB at this time.

Preflop:
Villain is in MP and raises to 2.2BB, Hero calls OTB, sb calls

Flop: A 8 3
sb checks, Villain shoves 28.6BB, hero?

What is the minimum hand that you call in this spot?

Thats just pure guessing as this shove makes zero sense on A83. So maybe AT, every suited ace with hearts...
But there is not much point in trying to analyse this, as it is a play that should not exist at all.

Agreed. What is he shoving almost 4x pot as the preflop raiser on Axx suited? Really weird play. Maybe he has a flush draw.

Hero has AJo (no hearts). It is such a weird shove which made me wonder.

In the end, I used a good chunk of my time bank and finally called. Villain had KQo. Very punty on their part, and not expected at this buy-in level.
