Preflop
With 12BB effective you can either limp, min-raise or jam. K8o dont play amazingly well postflop, so I would slightly prefer jamming. Min-raising is bad against someone, who will aggressive rejam, so my second choise would be limping. Min-raising is better than folding, but in my opinion worse than either of the other two options.

Flop
I would check back here. Its a way ahead, way behind situation, and there is really nothing for you to protect against. If your hand is ahead now, it is almost always going to still be best on the river, so you want to keep his range as wide as possible and allow him to bluff or catch up to a second best hand.

Turn
This is a bad card for you, because now you lose to both AX and 5X, so I definitely agree with checking.

River
He is betting almost full pot, and you clearly only beat a bluff. There are not many busted draws, and this hand is not near the top of your range, since you should also play AX the same way, when the turn pair bottom card. So for me this is a fold. I just dont think, you will get shown a bluff often enough. But of course this is heads-up, so reads and dynamics are important. And since you were the one playing with him, you had those reads, not me.

Something isn't adding up. Post states "hero posts the small blind 300.00 villain posts the big blind 600.00". Hero's pf raise and villain's call here makes sense. But post flop villain goes first.

This is heads-up. Heads-up, button posts the small blind since there is nobody else available to post it

I would jam pre-flop with < 12 bb's effective stack. If it wasn't a jam I would raise to 1260.

Flop I would bet about 1500. It hits our range hard and not bb's. We want gutters to fold so I wouldn't be checking or betting 1/3 pot.

Turn I would check back.

River is tough. My gut feeling is we should fold. I think it would come down to how frequently villain has been bluffing. If he is overbluffing then I'd probably call but if he underbluffs I would fold. If he is balanced its a tough choice but I think I would fold here. The tough part is that Villain didn't shove preflop so that eliminates a bunch of Ax (which is good for us), KQ (again good for us), and PP's (which is bad for us here because that is what we beat). Villain also has a bunch of 5x hands as well.

Thanks all for feedback. I didn't really have a read on villain at this point. Yeah river was really tough but yeah it's probably a fold on reflection.
