9th place pays $100. 8th place pays $238

Blinds 3K/6K/6k

UTG: 35K
UTG1: 25K
UTG2: 9k
LJ: 75K
HJ: 45K
Hero: 63K
SB: 15K
BB: 120K

Folds to hero in c/o. Should I shove my 10BBs and maybe add 23% to my stack or limp and fold to any aggression because UTG2 will be all in in two hands?

Kind of crazy spot with 10.5 bb's. If BB has a pair (which happens 1 in 17 times) and calls you are 45% to 49% to win. If BB has AK/KK which is rare you are 30%. If BB has AA which is rarest, you are 6%.

So many people will have to be all in before you I will understand if they say you should fold here. Personally I would shove to keep accumulating chips but in fairness to reality I go out with AQ more than any other hand.

I was on a bubble once at Bay 101 (with no bubble money) and folded some decent hands (like this or PP) repeatedly and watched 7 people get it in bad and win each time. I ended up bouncing with AK all in pre-flop vs A2.

But because there is bubble money here, I would just go for it. SB may call widish (hands like AJ/AT/KQ/AXs) with 2.5 bb's though they might wait for UTG2 to bounce first. And you have 50% of BB stack so BB might not call with 22-77 and maybe even 88. Though AK would call (and we block AK).

I think your hand is way too strong not to just shove. Even considering the ICM implications for you, the BB has ICM implications as well, since putting half their stack at risk and losing would be a disaster. I think you get called less than 5% of the time, and you block AA/AK/QQ as well.

You left the button out of the hand, though. My answer might be a little different depending on what the button's stack is, but even at a final table I can't see a shove not being profitable here.

Tell us what stack BTN has and rest of the payouts for the whole final table.

Why not 2x instead of shove? A lot of good things can happen that don’t entail risking your tournament life:

1) most likely result is you take it down, but if not:
2) SB may jam pretty wide, and we are a definite favorite vs his range
3) let’s say he does, BB has to be super strong to then jam on top of it. It’s not like he wants to just throw away half of his stack here, despite the strong chip lead. He only has 20bb
4) Same hold true even if SB folds - and if BB jams, i guess flip a coin at worst but call still has to be good here

Only works if BB not flatting super wide, and raise calling here is just terrible due to ICM.

It is one of the spot that read is important, you don't want a BB look you up with 22 even though in theory your range is super strong.

If you limp bb can just shove 100% of hands profitably and you have to fold everything.

This is a must all in

This appears to be a smaller tourney based on payouts? I assume 9th is a mincash?

With that in mind, I don't think you should expect people to only call with better here. I think the small blind calls with worse here a decent amount (AJ, KQ, maybe AT or worse). He has 2.5bbs! I think you also fold out some better hands from the BB as well (22 to maaaybe as high as 77).

What is our range here? Something like 55+, AJo+, ATs, KQs? Curious what people think. I guess we can limp with the top of our range and the bottom of our range if we want...maybe limp KQs, ATs, AA, and KK and then jam the rest. Perhaps that is enormously nitty.
