I think that people are waaaay too against chops in these huge FTs. As mentioned in an earlier post, there is a ton of variance when it comes to flipping for amounts 3-5x your current BR. I see no need for it.

Of course it's smart to chop when the payouts are so much higher than your entire bankroll. There's something backwards about how so many MTT players get backed, yet are unwilling to chop unless they take way the best of it. I thought the whole point of getting backed was that tournaments are so high in variance that people are afraid they can't handle it on their own, but some of those same people who are worried about variance over thousands of tournaments are happy to flip for all the gold in one tournament.
