So I've tried to tighten up and even though the first couple went ok the last 8 or so have been terrible.
Instead of getting to the 200 and 250 levels with 2800+, I'm getting there with like 1800 to 2200. We then play merry-fold-round till I would think are correct pushes but maybe they are not.
Some examples:
UTG 1600, b300/150 A9s, push? 7 left, I'm second short stack.
HJ 1400, 200/100 A10o, push? 8 left, 1 big stack.
BB 1100, 300/150 J4o, UTG all in, button calls with 1400 behind, pot is 1796 and I have to call 298. Theres 9 left and I'm the short stack. 6:1, I'd have to be less then 16.5% to make this incorrect?
It could easily be variance but I'm not used to getting to these levels with so few chips. 1 and 2 I ended up running into bigger A's and I folded the J4 hand.
But looking at my tourneys this is my biggest problem area pushing Ax hands early and running into either bigger A's, pairs or the Big Stack that decided to call 3.5bb with ATC.
Previously I didn't have to make these pushes, (again it could have been up variance) but to me it just doesn't feel natural. Not saying that it's not correct. I guess I don't know how to explain it. If it's just variance just let me have it. Sorry if it's a whine post also.
