Hi,
So on GG you have the option to buy/sell pieces, also for day 2 events. They use the formula 1.35 *(day 2 chips/starting stack day 1)^0.75 for stack adjustment, which makes very little sense to me.
For large stacks this results in adjusted stacks that are very far off from chipEV (stack day 2/start stack*buy-in). Although larger stacks suffer from ICM implications, I would think it is not as drastic as that. Especially in large field events that start ITM.
I made a small spreadsheet with a fictitious tourney to show what I mean, the GG-formula doesn't even add up to 1000. What am I missing?
