Greetings!

I was playing a $25 MTT tournament (big field approx 5500 entries). Was already in ITM, down to the last 182 people left, and there is a pay jump 177 (from $122 to $139). My position was around 151/182.

Largest stack in the field was around 97BB, average stack around 27BB and blinds going up in 3-4mins.

I was in the BB, I have around 8.7BB left after paying the blind and ante.

UTG open jam for 7BB, CO (biggest stack in my table), rejam for 34BB (BTN 17BB, SB 14.1BB), folded to me, I have 99. At this position, with my stack I could definitely make the pay jump but wouldnÂ’t go far.

I made the call, UTG had 66, and CO had AQs. Flopped an A, and busted both of us. I was thinking if the call on BB with 99, was right or wrong? Any input?

My thought process on calling because:
1. CO doesnÂ’t seem strong rejam, I guess premium pocket pairs will flat call to induced further action. I put CO at AQo+ , AJs+ and KQs.
2. If I were to win the 3way flip, it would put me in a position go deeper in the tournament.

I think that short you probably have to call it off. It might be a flip a lot of the time, but you're on the good side of that and you have overlay - you're too short to really wait for a better spot than this one; I don't think it's marginal enough to pass up to preserve your tournament life.

Easy call with their stack sizes imo, occasionally one of them will have a higher pair but given the stack sizes UTG could have something like A5s or even worse and CO could be rejamming with any two big cards. They also could have some of each other's outs. With under 10 BBs the opportunity to triple up is too good to miss.

Now, if UTG shoves 20 BBs and CO rejams something like 50, even as short as you are this is almost certainly a fold.
