I haven't played my games too differently lately, but have seen a way higher rate of bubbling/busting right before bagging. I know in such a swingy game a few tourneys are not enough sample size, but would like some advice and it may help with my future game.
Loosen up/more aggressive mid stage could be one so I don't arrive being near money/bagging with a fragile stack?
Be super nitty near bubble? For example I shoved 10bb with 77 from sb after a big stack limp from utg the other day in a 1100, (have seen him limping garbage but also showed up with aq once). In the long run I think it was a correct shove but I could just avoid risk and fold to the money? (about 30 spots til money)
eV is eV. In a live game, I believe you need to pay attention to the table as you near both the end of a day or the bubble and see if there are any deviations in behavior.
I completely disagree that you can "just avoid the risk and fold to the money" with only 10bbs and 30 places to go. 77 is a snap shove unless you know UTG to only limp monsters. Given your description, the shove was a no brainer.
