Hello again, everyone... it's good to be back on TwoPlusTwo! I've seen some of you here in Las Vegas (where I am at the moment), and I've enjoyed talking with many of you over the past few months about things that you'd like to see in online poker tournaments in general and in online series specifically.

Today, I'm pleased to announce that I'm once again active in the industry and working with online tournaments. I've joined Party Poker and I'm working on projects related to MTTs, with a specific focus on MTT series.

I'm in the process of putting together a new micro series (perhaps with some limited low-stakes), one which will play later this year. Currently, I'm studying historical data from our site to gain a feel for which games work best, which ones the players love the most at the various levels, etc.

What I don't have, and what I can't get just by scanning reports, is direct feedback from our players... and those of you who've read my posts for any length of time know that I value feedback very, very highly.

I'll have some specific questions to offer in the next few days, but in the meantime I'd like to leave the floor open to any feedback you have for a new micro series, as well as any feedback you have to offer for series in general.

Nice to see you here Bryan A lot of the things that would make me more likely to play a series relies on things like improved filtering and software. That being said here are some of the first things that comes to mind I would like to see implemented or improved for an upcoming series:

1) Introduction of day 2s
2) More varied Buy-in levels
3) Run some events earlier in the day instead of in the same time slots every day. Also spread them out a bit more
4) A much more ambitious satellite schedule where the ratio of seats is closer to 8-1/10-1 instead of only offering 5-1 sats. Also those games needs to be monitored and cleaned up so people can feel safe playing them.
5) Have rebuy events
6) Less re-entries, even if it means slightly less ambitious guarantees.
7) no direct buy-in to the phases for MTT series.
8) Less emphasis on leaderboards, at least for the time being. Between the system not catching people playing 3 days straight, people having to calculate their own points and complaints about collusion and stalling it just seems like the resources could be put much better elsewhere. If you do decide to go with them anyways please try and make them more visible. If not for reading here on the forums I would have no idea that Party had leaderboards.

$5.50 mtts blind structures need to be changed to 10-12 min variable levels ASAP this has been discussed at length in the other thread.

I only play like 3 days a year on party, but I want to say:

rebuy satellites @ turbo/hyper (rakefree rebuys of course)

Put the Caribbean leaderboard back to being a daily one or at least curtail the hours on the weekly - and award points for participation. Old system was much bettter. With the weekly there's a lot more hijinks going on also.

Something else then just NLHE tournaments would be great, even in the normal schedule.

and please dont make it a micro millions style series everyone on 2p2 and beyond is crying out for a midstakes mtt series something inbetween scoop low and wcoop $5-$55 with $1k HR and $215 main or something would be the absolute nuts here

best of luck here if u can make it so we dont need to reg another mtt at amaya then it will happen right now i can reg 3mtts a day and 2 of them are phase ones i qualify then i can reg 1

give the 55 and below scene a total revamp and u will take alot of peoples from ps/888 to here

This obviously no idea why series are always either to expensive to be accessible for your average joe or too small for most people to give a **** about.

Party seem obsessed with pushing the buyins higher and higher. Do people really think its sustainable building your entire mtt schedule from the top of the pyramid while the low stakes players get crushed underneath?

-9/8 handed turbos with smaller starting stacks
-Less pkos
-More rebuys like 3r/8r
-A euro time midday daily major
-A sunday $11 vanilla major
-Morning/early afternoon schedule revamp
-No negative changes to mtts (rake, payouts, etc)

A big plus one to what mement said.
As well the mtt ticket expiry thing has got to be altered. As it is rec players are getting hit the hardest.

MTTSngs. 45/90/180 ones same as stars.
Could possibly think to make the 180's on demand, so that they always run.

+1 to whatever mement said, especially Day 2's! It's incredible how long some of the Powerfests were taking, 8pm events finishing like 11am-1pm next day.


Regarding Powerfests, first of all try to make them less boring! It's especially important for recreationals I'd say (which means its important for us too). When rec logs to a P* during SCOOPs he sees 4 different events every day, different games, buyins, different types of games within NLHE, different structures etc.
On PartyPoker every single tournament is the same, same group of tournaments is repeated every single day, which makes it insanely boring and likely makes recreationals less interested, as they don't even know which events are big/important and which are not. And it's not even easy to find them in that horrible lobby tbh.
I think you should aim for quality over quantity of events, right now Powerfest's schedule is simply CTRL+C CTRL+V trying to fit in as many comps as possible.



Also try to spread out tournaments a little bit imo. Like why would you have 3 huge powerfests (100k gtd 55$, 1M gtd 215$, 1M gtd 1050$) starting at the same exact time? Why would you have both huge Sunday majors (Title Fight, Main Event) starting at same exact time? If there's a recreational logging at 4pm you want him to see huge comp starting soon, instead of everything starting too late for him.

Definitely the mtt schedule needs addressing and ur the guy i think they are in safe hands.

Its so withered off peak times we need to some life during offpeak

also everything the same colour in the lobby is poor show and lazness on partys behalf, they have sattys and some sunday things diff colours, by making daily majors diff colours this would bump up there appeal, sounds silly but when a 22 $1.5k at peak time is the same colour as a daily $530 it loses its 'appeal' and is slightly confusing

we could do with all those tiny bowl mtts being scrubbed theres a 5.50 and 22 start every hour or so, u could have these all 10k+ guarantee if u wanted and have them filled i have no idea why so many withered 2k guarantees etc clutter the shced

PokerStars still bigger just because other poker rooms don't have:

- Good Traffic
- Good software
- Other types of games (Stud, Razz MTTs, Badugi, etc)

So do it and be the greatest poker room of all times.
