Someone take a hold of their balls and man up and tell us who leads the Vancouver VPN ring. Is the winner of the WSOP event that runs it Canadian? There are two Canadians from Vancouver/BC that won bracelets this year, but neither of them are "large" for WSOP standards.

This is when its amazing to be not good enough to ghost someone, and so bad i'm never deep to be ghosted all though i would do neither

When Chuck said winner of WSOP ring was "last summer", my first instinct is 2012, not 2013, although people use this phrase differently.

i have absolutely no idea why anyone would feel sorry for the "poor guy" that's behind the gb acc. first of all, nobody forced him/her to do this so it was def somebody who did it voluntarily. not sure why this person would think that this is going to be fun or some easy internet columbo work but the way info has been presented was a huge mess from the first post (gboros outing) on. of course nobody would like what the person posts for various reasons (not posting enough info, not naming names, posting wrong names,etc). my point is that the person behind the acc had to know this and just running away from it now throwing in an incomplete list of a bunch of names and then even telling people to email stars if they have a problem with this is just absurd. how can you even give a fk when somebody attacks you itt for being too slow/posting bs or whatever on a public internet forum where you are completely anonymous? you just killed this thread and the discussion cause from now on it will all be hearsay and random gibberish that nobody will give anything about, whereas if you took this seriously there would at least be a chance that something positive will come out of this thread. it wouldve been different if some info was posted by the verified 2p2 ghostbusters acc as if some nobody posts itt saying that morans is goldenbears. you basically took the chance for anybody who didn't want to out his "friends" publicly to out them for him. solid work.

Regroup try again , try a new approach. It is a shame to see this thread die like this. These people are cheating us regular players out of tons of equity. I think it's more widespread than a lot of people realize . Sure the people who are really pro about it will continue to find ways around any extra security measures. But even if we can only cut the amount of shadiness in half, that alone will go a long way towards preserving our ROIs and winrates.

None of what I posted was a rumour, it's not like I made that stuff up - it all came directly from people who had been in the same rooms with these people and had lots of inside information. I'm essentially a nobody in the sense that I know hardly anything about what goes on in the US but when half of world's HSMTT regs tell me the same thing I tend to believe it. Talk to anyone who was at last year's WSOP who knows any HSMTTer Americans and it's impossible to not hear the Vancouver stuff mentioned for example.

But the problem is that I'm not going to out any of that (and the other most severe cases) as it's too risky, and there's 0% chance I'm going back to any of this really. I sent all of my information as a package to a group of ~6 people that became got merged to someone(s) operating ghostbusters and I just got a message today that said he's oi and has no intentions to do anything about it either anymore.

But even if I'm not posting it and ghostbusters is not posting it, it's not like it's some government secret held by a few people. Everything I saw was a collection of PMs from like 50-100 people, endless skype chats, etc, etc. A lot of this stuff is something that half of the people reading this thread know, and any of them is free to post what they want at any given time. But no one wants to be that guy.

It doesn't seem like it's going to happen though, and I don't think Stars are catching the most severe cases either, doesn't look like a lot of good will happen anymore from this except I think after the meeting Stars are taking these things more seriously and are catching an increasing number of the bad guys.

If anyone wants to get on that, you can email the ghostbusters account, I'm sure he still reads it. Maybe he'll resend it to you and you can do what you want with it. When I started this I was as pissed off as people are now and really wanted to just out everyone, and had to learn the hard way that these guys are the ones who have all the money in the business and thus possibilities to do a lot of things even if they are nerds themselves. It's just not worth it to make those enemies, I have definitely come to that conclusion myself because of certain events I'd rather not disclose here and thus I've made up my mind to say nothing further. But ghostbusters knows MORE than I know (of the stuff he posted 80% was new to me too), and tons and tons of regular posters here know everything that I know. No one has said anything about the most severe things and I suspect it's for this same reason. Ghostbusters was the one chance to get it done anonymously and apparently the person operating it decided to be emo and sign off because of flaming, but really maybe just message him and become the new ghostbusters guy yourself. No one's stopping you... I really thought this was happening and my hopes were super high up until a couple of days ago. I thought ghostbusters were just being busy getting their facts straight and it ended up in this epic fail.

Fwiw we just got news about Finland closing poker sites cos of legislation bs so if that is happening who knows maybe I'm going to be VPNing myself soon, lol. And I really don't care what happens in America right now so no point trying to pressurize me

Agreed. Poker players are naïve sometimes at the methods other seemingly nice poker players will use when money is on the line. Read Trincher indictment as Exhibit A.
