Background:
Used to play back when pokerstars was available in U.S. and had I think around 200% ROI and just started playing again a couple months ago on Global Poker and have 500% ROI.
I want to start playing live (commerce casino) but I feel like I’m not ready even though I have had good results online. The reasons are,
1. I want to be more consistent in my results, right now it’s either I lose early or finish late. This is probably because I play LAG(more on this later) but also I know I have some leaks in my play still that maybe I should fix before playing live? I don’t want to drive somewhere and lose in the first hour, I would feel like it’d be a big waste of time.
2. I have played in 2 live tournies before, took down a 18 player tournament in vegas and min cash a fb tourney in commerce. Problem is I feel weird playing the same way I do online. I’m a shy person and playing LAG live makes me uncomfortable because of the reactions I get so I tend to play more tight live.
3. Since I’ve practically played online I get nervous about messing up live like folding/betting out of place, mucking a winning hand, not raising the right amount etc.
4. Scared of getting angled since I hear it happens a lot live. I have no idea what to look out for or what to do if it happens.
Which of these do you think I don’t really need to worry about before I try playing live? Also I think it would help if I met others that can show me the ropes. Planning to play Commerce Casino and maybe low buyin games at wsop next year.
