In doing so I had success rather consistently. However I took a vacation and came back and have never been able to find my success again. I have used programs like PT4 to help me along the way however I am still not seeing results I like. I don't think it is my poker knowledge as I am an avid book reader and studier (however I realize I am not perfect yet). Is there any advice to get back on track and return to being a consistent winning player? As of now my ROI is negative and I am a losing player. Please help me out.
Post some hands in this forum. There are lots of ups and downs in poker and that's just part of the game. Without knowing more about your game, it's hard to say why you're not winning atm.

Make sure you don't try to steal against a fish/random player because they will flat you and you will be in trouble. So most importantly play against the player type and not your cards.
This is only really going to be true at the micros. At a certain level, people start to pay attention to steal stats and will start to play slightly more creatively to punish you for being this transparent.

That's not to say you shouldn't steal looser against nits. Of course you should.

What is a good default assumption on the quality of a player that has blocked himself on Sharkscope?

Usually they will be good players for the level but I don't think you can say much more than that.

Here is a couple. Tried to give one from start middle and end. I also find that I am struggling with my bankroll management, How much is an effective bankroll in number of buy-ins to move up the stakes aggressively. I find on pokerstars as well a extremely big difference between the 3.50$ SNG and the 7.00$. I find myself often questioning a lot of the moves of the players, and often find myself losing to alot of weaker hands. I know that this should just be variance, however it happens VERY often, the players in 3.50 I find more loose cannons who tend to get lucky. How should I try to deal with the tilt in these situations. Should I get coaching? would a program like sng wiz, help at the moment? or should I build up a bit more bankroll before making another purchase? lol Sorry for all the questions, I realize it may be too much at once, but I am extremely frustrated. Let me know what you think. thanks. If you need more hands holla.

One good advice: better post one hand at a time, no more than 2 at a day.

1. might lead flop into the limped pot, bc limpers are usually calling stations as well. Also checkraises tend not to work vs these kind of players, bc they don't bet in most cases.
turn is ok. river don't bet that small. Don't miss that much value. If you are in the pot with limpers at the micros, just valuebet your TP.

2. reasonable line. Villains line is just weird, what makes me call everytime.

3. Where is the question? Folding would be so horrible. Posting that hand is a leak, lol.

Ok, now your questions. Brm wise i would recommend at least 60BI, if its turbo/regular stts. If you are playing hypers you should have at least 120.
Most important thing though is to reduce the risk of ruin, so if you are able to move up/down easily you may need less. I would recommend reading articles/ watching videos, bc that matter can be very complex.

If your opponents play bad and tilt you, YOU have a problem. You should be grateful about your opponents playing incorrectly. Try to think more about the common tendencies fish pools have (limping/calling down too much/not betting or raising nearly enough) and try to formulate a specific counter strategy (valuebetting always/not bluffing/never call raises, etc) for every common spot.

Coach wouldn't be bad, but im sure you can improve wastly just by signing up for a video site and using icmizer.

Currently grinding the 5% rake DoN's on Bovada. Would like to transition to regular turbo SnGs because I find the DoN's a bit boring and don't think they improve my game aside from tournament bubble/short stacked play.

My question- the rake on the standard 6 or 9max games is anywhere from 8.3%-10%. How significant is this in the long-run, and is it worth just sticking with the DoN's for now?

It's not an issue of beating the game, I am doing very well in the DoN's. They are just boring and I think my game would improve more playing standard payout SnGs rather than 4 table robot playing DoN's.

I just stumbled over a wordpress site i made a few years ago to collect STT/MTT articles. Didnt even remember it until i received an email about it from someone thanking me for it. No idea where he even got the link from but whatever.
Thought maybe it could help someone so ill post it here. Dont expect updates or anything tho and most of those articles are 6+ years old but the theories should still be valid.

How do you use ICM calculator at holdemresources?

I have this scenario for 6 max hyper turbo. Blinds are 50/10o 10 ante. Button is 350 chips, Hero (SB) is 650 chips and BB is 2000 chips. Structure is 65%, 35%. Button folds.

With SitNGo Wizard I get to push with 39.7% of hands if he is willing to call with only 24% of hands.

ICM calculator says to push with 33.3% of hands and says BB calls with 24% of hands unless I am reading it wrong.

I just checked sharkscope to get an idea about ROI in 6 max hyper turbos and the ROI is almost the same in all of them.
1.5$ stars micros top players have lower roi compared to higher limits. Why is that considering I have played around 500 tournaments and I am playing vs a lot of players for the first time (at least 3 other players are usually 0 games on my hud).

Is this the case of other profitable players moving up higher stakes instead of playing 50k+ tournaments per year with positive roi at lower stakes?

How big is the skill difference between 1.5$ and 3.5$ buyin on stars and how many games and what roi do you think you need to see if you are profitable players (don't mean real roi, just to see if you are actually profitable).

What is the best way to check whether my actions are right or wrong?

I am currently using HRC (trial) and PokerTracker 4 (trial). What I do is play 2-10 games (depending on how I feel) with 2 tables at the same time and during this time I am writting things that I see in my notebook. After games I go into HRC and do quick analyze to see where I did wrong or I do basic/advance hand setup if I feel the situation required it or I believe player had different ranges compared to what HRC gives out.

Problem I am having is that I am losing in CNET and CNET adjusted. If I am losing in CNET adjusted (from PokerTracker 4) then that means I should be losing. Majority of my mistakes (at least 90%) in HRC are caused by not pushing/calling big enough range (which is opposite of what CNET adjusted is telling me).

So which program is better to improve my game? PokerTracker 4 and CNET adjusted or HRC?

Unlucky, running better at lower stakes than at higher stakes.
