Top 5% of each flight bags to play Day 2. Theres maybe 12 flights that combine for Day 2.
I'm a strong low stakes cash game player never really studied tournaments, but this one has a nice prize pool so I played.
Managed to bag around 41 big blinds for Day 2.

I'll have some time to study, what's going to be the most useful to look at? I'm guessing the Day 2 will be around 80 people. I know nothing about tournaments really. Unsure how pay jumps should affect my strategy and all that. Also assuming based on the last 5% of my flight it's going to be a harder field with all the best players.

TLDR: New tournament player looking for any advice on how to maxamize profit in late stages of a large tournament

If you already have experience with cash games, then just studying anything that has to do with shorter stacks will be useful. What to openraise at 14bb and what to openjam, what ranges to 3bet jam, how to play shallow BvB etc. And of course you can look at some ICM stuff, but that will mostly be for final table with your limited time to study anyway. Another thing you can look at are some asymmetric ranges. How to play a 10bb stack against someone who minraised from 30bb when there are other big stacks on the table. Some of these ranges will probably surprise you a lot as a CG player.
