If you're looking for something to do tonight, why not play some poker and
help a guy out at the same time.

Bad Beat on Kidney Failure
Nov 12, 21:00 FTP time
Tourney # 67971755
$10+$10, NLHE
pw in tourney lobby

Here's the original thread posted in the forums at Full Tilt.

One of the fulltiltforum.com founders is having some pretty severe health problems again.
For those that don't know Cat has a kidney condition. In the last 6 months it has gotten
progressively worse. He is unable to work and the disability coverage and medical care
only get someone so far. He's in danger of losing a place to live as he chose medical
coverage and food over housing.

Play & help out if you'd like.

Thanks

My brother had kidney failure due to ecoli when he was in 6th grade and it was a major strain on him and my family so i highly encourage anyone with $20 they would prob lose flipping anyway to register for this tourney.

Also if I'd like to do something more (like maybe match the first place of the tourney as a donation) who i could transfer the money to? If someone can help link me to a forum post or just general info id appreciate it

Thanks, cking, thebigeasy59 and J4easy. His name on FTP is CailtyssRulien.

I don't normally pimp charity tourneys, but this one hit close to home. My
grandfather is very ill with kidney problems. Basicaly, they don't work anymore,
and he has to go on dialysis. Also, I've played with CailtyssRulien many times
(mostly during the first year FTP existed), and I was a member of fulltiltforum.

He is good people, and doesn't deserve to have to choose between medical attention
and food and shelter. Nobody does. It's the ultimate kick in the face to have to worry
about such things while facing a life threatening illness.

Don't have any personal experiences with it, but in anyways. Seems like a fun short tourney and I feel like doing something positive to get my mind off all the UIGEA crap.

Thanks for all who played. We had a decent turnout. 85 players showed up, with acebrendan taking it down. A few pros played, and Andy Bloch made the money. A good time was had by all, and we were able to raise $900+ for a good guy. I'm sure if cailtyssrulien knew I made this thread he'd want me to thank all who took part.

So, thanks again.

Yeah this one hits close to home for me as well. Will be in there for sure. This is awsome and sites should do more of this stuff with all the expendable money us poker players have, not going to kill us if donate say 100$ a month to help out the less fortunate.

oops, thought today was the 12th, if anything else like this comes along, make sure to post and I will gladly join.
