[LOW] AsJs in the BB on a 5h-4h-Jc flop, against a big stack preflop raises from UTG+1

awkward stack size scenario:
Villain: 85BB
Hero: 30BB
Villain raises 2.1bb utg+1 folded around to hero in the BB with AJs,
Hero calls
(Pot 5.5bb)
Flop: 5h-4h-Jc
Hero checks
Villain bets 5bb
Hero jams, Villain calls and tables QQ.
Hero busts
Are these just cooler situations, with stack depths? Like can I still check raise here to like 15BB, can't really just raise half my stack and then fold to the Villains big turn bet right.
Or should I just check call the flop, and play it conservatively? Cause obviously if I shove there, I only get called by the same hand, QQ+, and at worst KJ right?

If I am calculating right, SPR is just a bit over 5. With an SPR that high, a check/call is probably better. You don’t need GTO stack off with TPTK in this spot. There are a lot of turns that will slow villain down (Aces, kings, hearts, maybe even sixes and threes), so your assumption that you’ll face a large tournament bet may not be correct.
I’m not sure villain has that much of a range advantage on this flop anyway. Knowing his hand we know he will likely think he’s good (unless one of those “slow down” cards comes ott), but in general flops like these are going to miss much of villain’s range and you may not see a turn bet as often as you think.

I realized after I made the bet That I pretty much forced him to play his hand perfectly. Cause hes only going to call me with the top of his range and I force him to fold-out all his bluffs.
