In a shocking turn of events, crowd favorite Jarred Graham was just eliminated from the main event by Barry Forrester.

Forrester limped into the pot from the cutoff holding Q9dd and Tom Grigg completed the bet from the small blind. The action then fell to Graham in the big who raised it up to 100,000. Forrester then decided to move all in, prompting Grigg to fold and Graham to make the call with pocket tens.

The dealer then spread the community cards... Q87AK giving Forrester a pot-clinching pair of queens to send Graham to the rail as the final table bubble boy.

Heh, when Jarred busted me, I was the one with Q9s.

We have a fair bit of stuff to do before we leave tuesday night:
go to a zoo to see a kangaroo and a tasmanian devil
go to the beach
go on a jetboat ride
Eat kangaroo and crocodile. Opera Bar, Mad Cow, Meat & Wine co, and Kingsley's Australian Steakhouse are all close and well reviewed. Wildfire was really good last night.

Anyone want to join us for any of this stuff?

pretty sure you can get a ferry or jet boat from the bottom of Toronga Zoo, I'm not sure they have tassie devils last time I was there was like 6 yrs ago though.

Wildfire is awesome I had my 21st there early in the year.

Kinglseys is fantastic, best steak I have ever had. Would recommend highly,

Opera bar is expensive and the people aren't the greatest, tbh , it's best on a friday night, I would advise to hit up the Australian or Epoque on Carrington for good drinking.

I would also advise going for a walk though the botanical gardens.

He's better at poka than he is at getting along with people (BB)

I did see him on Main Event Day 1, very confident and thinking he was Elvis. And i think he was playing a sat for the event, not sure if that's how he got in or he had already tied up the seat.

I know Aaron a little .. he is a nice guy, and will be the first to tell you he has been running pretty well - but good luck to him.

He has satellited into every one of the APPT events this season on Stars, and he also got 2nd in the FTOPs Main Event earlier this year (not the most recent one, the one before).

Been a heck of a year for a guy who 12-18 months ago was playing poker down at the pub with his mates.

Grats Aaron.

Ok, i respect ur opinion so he must be a good guy. Plus my line about getting along with ppl was in reference to being booted from the BB House , not his personality.

Well done Aaron, my sons name is Aaron so must be a good guy..lol...

i played with him maybe 2 levels before he busted me on a flip. he was solid. got creative once and put me to a tough decision, but thats easier to do when you have chips.

he was in for his tournament life with like 30 to go, he limps behind with T 8 flop 297 someone bets, he calls, turn 7x, bet again, he raises half stack and calls shove, bettor shows 22 for the boat, dude thinks he drawing dead but then we let him know about his outs, river he spikes the 6 sick life

Sorry to burst your bubble, but tassie devils are extinct. Go see the elephants instead, you can always have fun with elephants.

I'm pretty confident that tassie devils are not extinct.

Tasmanian Lions are - the last one died in 1928 or 1930 or something in Hobart Zoo.

Try Tasmanian Tigers, not lions. And the Tasmanian Devils are alive and doing well.

Played with him for almost the entire first 2 days except for maybe an hour or 2, somehow I'd always get switched to a new table and he'd show up a level or 2 later. I had position on him twice and once he had it on me. I ran a lot better vs. him out of position tho and he was tilting b/c I showed him a bluff once and stuff.

He's OK in my opinion but def made some weird plays. Of my 1st 2 tables he was probably the 2nd best player at them behind the guy who shipped APPT Auckland who seemed to know what he was doing, but the field was super soft to start so it didn't say much. I feel like he plays very exploitable so he's not hard to play vs. once you get an idea of what he's capable of, but I think he's good at exploiting bad players. There were a couple hands that he seemed to have butchered completely but they ended up working out b/c the people he played somehow butchered them worse.

Probs not worth getting into too much since he seemed like a decent guy and an above average player who god-moded it when it counted. I believe just before or in the money he got it all in on the turn of a paired board with an open-ended straight flush draw vs. a made boat and binked for a huge, then cracked As with 3s around the same time to get a bunch of chips deep.

I reeeeeallly wish I had the info that Forrester was such a monkey before I tried to 3-bet him a bunch OOP thinking he was a standard old nit. It seems like he just gave younger players no credit and was getting super out of line in spots where you wouldn't expect a ~60 year old dude to.
