Playing the Wynn $550 survivor. Early in the event. 18K effective stacks. 100/100 with 100 ante. UTG+1 raises to 400, called by UTG+2. I 3 bet from Hijack to 1200 with AA. Both call.
Flop is KQJ Rainbow. All check.
Turn is 9, completing the Rainbow, UTG+1 bets 1500, fold, I call.
River is a Q, Villain bets 3500, I fold.
Was this too passive/nitty? Can the Villain really be Value Betting AK on the river? What bluffs are there?
180 blinds deep I'm making it much bigger pre, 1800 at the very least. I wouldnt mind a cbet otf, but I see the merit in a x back here too. This is arguably the worst turn in the deck and I think we can safely x/f, we only beat hands we block (AQ/AK).

Feeling the pain...same scenario at the Marathon. Flop came QJ9 with HEAVY betting on the aces but had been called pre by someone that would seemingly play any face card regardless of how the math might have suggested. I had learned that a few orbits prior when he cracked my kings in the same precise manner.
Some days, you just have to get rid of them with the cringe-fold...
