Anyway you made a squeeze play for about a pot sized bet preflop. 9bb or 10bb would probably garner the same outcome as a 12bb bet does, but either way you will claim the pot with that bet as often as not. I don't see a big problem with your play preflop.
This time both Villains call, which bloats the pot. V1 has a pot-sized stack remaining and he donk-bets all in on the flop, creating a pot of around 80 bb. V2 folds and you are asked the question: Do you want to call off 40bb from your remaining 90bb stack, while holding top pair top kicker, against an unknown (but seems to be TAG) opponent?
You are getting 2-to-1 on the bet. You have a workable stack of about 50bb if you lose. I would call.
this makes sense thanks. I think I've just been really uncertain on my AK plays recently as they haven't been working out as often as I like. I figured it was a sigh call when he shoved but was wondering if I should have been more considered in my approach. I think thinking I blocked most Kx and AA made me feel good here on how to proceed.
