And if his range is wide enough to include 22, it will also include a hand like KQ, that he might overvalue, and there are 4 times more combos of KQ than 22. Whenever we expand ranges, we always need to do it in a congruent way rather than one, which is either worst case or best case for our actual holding. There are no players in the world, who are bad enough to setmine incorrectly with 22 in a 3-bet pot without making other massive mistakes as well. So a range of QQ, 99, KK and partly AQ is the absolute worst case, and anything wider than that gives us more equity.
