Hey guys, my first post here and I would be grateful for some input.

I cannot access my hand history for some reason, so I will give you the facts in brief. 32K gtd on stars. We are in the money, about 125 players left.

BTN Hero 20K
SB 60 K
BB 19 K

blinds 600/1200, ante 125
SB is TAGish, BB just moved to table so no read on him. Folded around to me.

2 Questions:
- Preflop, should I make a standard raise or just jam to take away the fold equity for them? Seems like BB has a good reshove stack and can reshove with a wide range, especially against a btn raise, and the pot is worth 3K preflop.

- I decided to go for a standard raise here (3200) - and I get reshoved by BB. Should I call with my 88?

I would raise a little bit more pre flop to show both blinds, that you commit yourself to any reraise, maybe you can get the pot that way directly. But in case you need to double up for a long stay in the tourney, the 3600 could be perfect. The BB could think you just want to steal, he reraises and you snapp call with the best hand. If he has an overpair, take it and pray for a set . So if you decide for a "normal raise", you even decided to call for your entire stack. Easy call.

I'd call, as you said: villain can reshove with a wide range here. I think you're ahead of his range.

snap call, and expect to be in a coin flip or a 70% favourate

stacks are perfect for a resteal and if i was villain i would be pushing a very wide range indeed, assuming youve been qutie active in late position

Open/call is the optimal line IMO. By not shoving you gain a lot of value from giving room for a wide resteal. By shoving you're prolly flipping or 20/80 if called given the stack sizes and tag SB. Open/fold is spew, so open/call > shove > open/fold.

I think i would make it like 3075 and call a shove
