Hello,

I found myself confused in theses spots:

Early position open (Random, tighter side player) who cover us and we have 30-35bb Early-middle position.

Our hand is TT, what we do? We should be comfortable 3bet/get it in with this stack? I suppose it 3bet/fold spot?

Our hand is Ak, never calling but what 3bet sizing we are choosing when 3betting? How often we find fold button with theses stacks?

What about 99/aq?

Thanks.

post HH's don't post these blanket questions because there are obviously so many factors that go into making these decisions

Main point was there is no exact hand but here is example:

New table, hud not shown for first hand so all unknown
Tournament - t150/t300 Blinds + t25 - 9 players

MP1: t7946
MP2: t18340
CO: t3402
BTN: t10474
SB: t9485
BB: t6315
UTG: t7849
UTG+1: t10265
Hero (UTG+2): t9000

Pre Flop: (t675) Hero is UTG+2 with T T or A K or A Q or 9 9
1 fold, UTG+1 raises to t600, Hero ?

Nobody on this forum is going to tell u how to play poker man.. this is a place to discuss interesting spots... in order to tell u whats best in this spot we would need reads on the opener the BI of the tourney and ur table image.. so it depends there isnt a blanket way to play each hand

Midstakes forum say it probably midstakes mtt. To be more specific we can consider it 22-27$ mtt. Agree that needed add that information, sorry about that.
Also said it new table and no information on anyone.

I don't need advice how to play versus nit or hyper lag and specifically single hand like tt or aqs but that close part of range overall.
I am asking advice about handling theses hands in theses situation overall and versus average population.

I understand it close to blanked information (just stacks/buy-in) but imo it will be good start point (average population) and learning it will benefit most and just adjusted as needed versus tighter/looser player.
If no one willing to give advice without specific vpip/pfr or specific reads and just discussing situation overall then so it goes.

People don't take kindly to broad conceptual Qs around here TC. I've been given the same brush off many times. I'm also a conceptual learner and find the logic behind any action much more interesting than the spoon fed: I have X, my opponent is type Y, my stack is Z. What should I do? Try forming your Qs around a made up hand if necessary to get the ball rolling.

Back to Your Question
I'd say AK is almost always a hand we want to get in with 30-35bb. TT can be less clear depending on opponent type and other factors etc. etc. Unfortunately, this is an awkward stack depth and I don't think I have a great answer for you.

Option A. Shove all in
Option B. Raise enough to commit ourselves and then shove any flop
Option C. Make a more normal 3bet and play poker afterward

Generally speaking (woops, did I really just say that) I'm a big fan of option B. But unfortunately in this case we may have too many chips for that (especially since he only opened for 2BB). So I think we're stuck with option C.
