His play represents a middle pair imo 77-TT, so I would fold the blinds are still 15/30 so its not crippling.

I hate these spots with AK on the flop, with position I like to check 50% of the time depending on the villain. Although if you are going to bet, you could possibly bet a little less as a probe 1/3 the pot maybe.

is limping behind PF way too bad?

Played nicely, although you may check the flop, as it's pretty draw-heavy and would hit a good part of his flatcalling range.

And it's early in the tournament , personally I like to establish a tight image to get away with more steals and c-bets later on.

I would not limp behind in MP, that will attract to many callers. Although on BTN I sometimes do when deep, as you're in position vs. few opponents with a deceptive hand.

check behind on the flop and re-evaluate if you miss the turn and he fires, just lay it down you still have so many BBs left, so there is no reason to fight too much over the pot

3 bet is fine pre.
I see no reason to cbet this flop it is going to miss your PF range most of the time.

any mid PP+/draw/combo draw is going to jam you on it because you are most likely holding two paints seldom a better PP than his.

+ 10k

Pre is perfect, but don't cbet this board in this situation in a 3$ sng. Not even hu imo.

No it's not, i find rr here makes stacks awkward for continued aggression, however for higher levels it's needed for balance purposes, so to the 12's feel free to call behind and stack AQ/AJ

Solid

I don't mind the bet on the flop as long as we are willing to get it in.

Is it a check behind?

I am curious to know what the optimal play here is

not sending 40% of my soldiers out there and letting them hang.
either check behind or bet/call on a 7 high flop.
