Hi, villain is fishy 42/8, but not much hands on him, (12)

Can we consider a fold on his overbet turn ?
River as played, FD and SD have missed, do we have to call then ?

PokerStars - €18+€2|150/300 Ante 40 NL - Holdem - 9 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

Hero (BTN): 9,310
SB: 7,255
BB: 24,811
UTG: 21,973
UTG+1: 15,612
UTG+2: 10,002
MP: 5,126
MP+1: 4,203
CO: 26,260

9 players post ante of 40, SB posts SB 150, BB posts BB 300

Pre Flop: (pot: 810) Hero has J J

fold, fold, fold, fold, fold, CO calls 300, Hero raises to 900, fold, fold, CO calls 600

Flop: (2,610, 2 players) 7 K 7
CO checks, Hero checks

Turn: (2,610, 2 players) T
CO bets 3,300, Hero calls 3,300 ?

River: (9,210, 2 players) 3
CO bets 5,100, Hero ?

Only a FD, have we 3 streets of value on PP and Ax float ?
I think it's better to let him bluff ton of hands that have missed this flop, and we can make value OTT and on OTR from his pp and Axs since we have underep our hand OTF.
So i disagree with betting the flop sorry :/

I might 4x a 42/8 limp here. Betting the flop keeps you from guessing turn. Prefer shoving turn to calling.

Bet flops probably going to be better, probably want to be betting 1k on the flop.
As played I think we should be folding to the overbet, you're going to be facing a bet on the river a high percentage all the time and we're not going to be comfortable doing that.

personally i like the check on the flop but the turn i feel if you are gonna put that much of your stack in by calling you should have got it all in.... really not a lot of hands beat you and you have some what of a redraw... To me its either fold or shove facing that bet after checking flop...

flop is ok with this spr if you balance it sometimes.
plz fold turn.
if you call turn it means you should snap river for that price.

exactly... if you didnt think you were winning on turn you should have never called for that price.

Can't get value from busted draws on the river.

I think against a passive player a check on the flop is fine.. however against an aggressive and thinking player a check on the flop basically tells him you don't have a king and it opens the door for him to double barrel and really put pressure on you!! That why I like to bet the flop and keep the lead .. If he calls you can always reevaluate in the turn and slow down...

Logic needs to be inverted. Getting X/r from an aggro opponent with a pure bluffcather is something we want to avoid. So we should limit the number of streets he can put bets in with.

Against a passive opponent we should feel good about b/f because his x/r frequency is going to be nutted.
