PokerStars - 10/20 Ante 3 NL - Holdem - 6 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

MP: 94.6 BB
Hero (CO): 74.2 BB
BTN: 73.2 BB
SB: 73.7 BB
BB: 74.7 BB
UTG: 59.6 BB

6 players post ante of 0.15 BB, SB posts SB 0.5 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 2.4 BB) Hero has J K

fold, fold, Hero raises to 3 BB, fold, fold, BB calls 2 BB

Flop: (7.4 BB, 2 players) 9 J K
BB bets 2 BB, Hero raises to 8.85 BB, BB raises to 22 BB, Hero tanks... then calls 13.15 BB

Spoiler:
Didn't make sense to me. At $2 MTTs, it's a rare player who fast-plays a flush when the opponent is showing strength. This just seems weird to me. Fast-playing a flush when the in-position, PFR is raising you really just -- it doesn't seem typical for these stakes. I think he thinks I'm on the draw with the bare As? What's his range here? I think it's more KX hands that are betting to protect than spades... though of course, flopped flushes (6s5s) and QT hands... I know I'm pot committing myself if I call, but maybe there'll be a K or J on the turn 8% of the tim to make my life easier.

Turn: (51.4 BB, 2 players) 5
BB bets 32 BB, Hero tanks... then raises to 49.05 BB and is all-in, BB calls 17.05 BB

Spoiler:
Do or die time. He's going with his hand. Do I go with mine? It's basically the "top of my bluffcatching range" I basically decide if he flopped the flush or the straight, he just got me. I can't be Mubs-ing, and he could just be on a draw or overvaluing top pair.

With shorter effective stacks I would happily raise flop and stack off there but 75bb effective I'd prefer to call flop and then attack a non-spade turn.

I like to follow a good general rule in spots like this: if I really wouldn't want to get raised/3bet, then it's better not to bet/raise in the first place.
