We don't have a lot of info on villain despite having played with them for 4 hours. Middle aged. He lost a big pot when he bet the river after making a straight and he got raised and he called and lost vs a flush.

Hero has 26K,
Villain has 17K
30 is a starting stack
blinds 200/300 300 BB ante
we are 10 handed

Preflop Hero has A K in sb
UTG raises to 800, MP calls, 2 folds, CO calls, 2 folds, Hero 3 bets to 3K, BB folds UTG folds, MP calls, CO folds

Flop: 9c 7d 3d (headsup)
Hero bets 2.5K, villain calls

Turn: 6c
Hero?

Do we
1) Shove all-in
2) Bet something that commits us?
3) do something else?

1st- I would raise more pre oop and against 3 villians. I think you go 4-5k minimum here. 3k is way too small.

I probably bet turn to make it look like I have a river jam and prolly only jamming a club, A, or K. You can check call turn I guess if sizing isn’t too big. Hmm I’m prolly fan of betting turn at an amount over the cbet. I think you should go smaller on the flop to allow of more ammo on turn and river. Hmm maybe go 1/4 or 1/5 pot in a 3bet pot to allow for 3 barrels. Lately, I like to size in a way where it looks like I’m going to shove the river with a psb behind left. Here I think we maximize FE when we bet an amount that looks like it could easily be a river shove so we make villian ponder that if they call- they are going to be facing additional pressure.

Honestly, this is kinda goofy but I do have spots in tournies where I will set up what looks like a psb on the river but will shut down completely if I miss. Villians will find folds on turn sometimes and they don’t know we will shut down on river. If I hit my drawing hand- go for max value and shove river with a psb left. If I miss- they are prolly calling so just shut down and wave the white flag.

I would jam the turn. It's a less than pot sized bet based on effective stack size (about 90% pot) and oddly if Villain is on a flush draw gives us a chance to get them to fold. We are likely behind but Villain may fold thinking we have an overpair. If we are called I think most of the time we have 33% chance to win.

I agree with JK about pre-flop sizing. I would make it about 4.8k

Yeh, easy shove for psb with flush draw and overcards.
