I haven't really played too much live lately... Mostly playing online, and was surprised to see how frequently the pot was going 4-6 way post flop. Not as familiar with these spots and felt like I may have misplayed a couple of hands.

I noted just a hand or two, but since I'm not using a multi-way solver thought I'd drop a couple here.

Main one, around 25bb we open 9s8s -- I'll usually fold here, but opted to open as I had been pretty card dead (had a tighter image) and thought it played decently multi-way while a lot of pots were going multi-way.. We get UTG+2 call who's probably 38ish VP if I guessed, little on the loose side, next guy calls (lady next to me noted his resemblance to popeye) also slightly on loose side, Button calls who I recognize vaguely as a decent semi-known pro, but can't quite place the name and has around 22bigs, BB also continues.

Flop is Q92 with two clubs. Checks around and 8c hits turn... Checks to us, we ? I led on the large size, 3/4 pot or so and only the guy I vaguely recognize as a pro continues on button. River is blank and we, ? Around 3/4 pot left eff and he shoves after we check...

you know I can't find the other main hand I wanted to look at... but there was another more common spot, but worth bringing up I guess - I 3b LJ with AA vs a UTG+1 open, got called by button and initial opener. Prob around 50bb eff. Very similar board - Q82r. I just misread the size and mistakenly bet half pot when checked too, and button thinks for awhile and says you bet one chip less and I call and EP snap-folds. I actually thought I was betting less or closer to 1/3 but more or less misread the pot size and bet right about 1/2 pot. Normally I'd bet smaller 25-33% or check/rep AK and see what happens turn, or wait for turn to get more money in since texture is pretty dry... but thoughts still? I won the hand, I just felt like I missed a good amount of potential value..

I'm just not seeing that being a good turn sizing for anything in your range for anything more than tiny frequency, if at all. You probably want to keep checking a lot and only use small sizings

On the first hand, multiway with two pair on what's now a very connected board, I'd really lean towards checking here. I can see small-ish bet being fine to get value/protection from weaker Qx and curious single-club hands that might stick around, but it actually feels somewhat dicey.

On the second hand, I actually don't mind bigger bet on a dry board, mostly because 3-bet call ranges are fairly narrow. For the most part they're going to have a decent draw or a pair (which is always going to continue) or they'll fold. I don't mind smaller bets against players who I think will find raises more often, but if you're not to get raised a lot, I'd bet on the bigger side and get value.

I wouldn't put a ton of stock in the "I would've called if you bet smaller" line from a button that cold-called a 3-bet, as the button's cold-call range is probably super narrow anyway.

First hand: Too loose pre off 25bb. Because of SPR MW, you're basically setting yourself up to get stacks in with 1 pair or draws. Just increasing your variance unnecessarily. Flop is fine. Turn size is OK, I would size 50%. The more polar your size, the stronger their continuing range becomes. Smaller keeps in hands you beat. River xc - lose to nut straight, win against some straight missed gutters/open-enders and badly played Qx.

Second hand: Size is good MW. If heads up 25-33%.
