[LOW] 10 bb stack can we call in the BB pre?

100 dollar MTT Global poker 33 players left 18 until the money
V raises LJ 2bb No reads on him folds to Hero
Hero is in the BB with 68o
Can we call this preflop at this stack depth? At 20 bb it is a call but not sure at 10 bb

Of course you can call. If there is ante, this is a call. Without it, maybe not. I used to review peoples tournaments and they would fold quality hands in the BB short stacked to a minraise, which is insane.

I think the standard play here is to call and be prepared to check/get it in on the flop with a pair or a straight draw.

It is better to call from 10BB then 20; when we flop equity and get it in, we are in good enough shape; these hands are harder to play off 20BB defenses, as flopping a gutter, or a weak pair isn't good enough to stack off.
