Fold. You should get a trial of SNG Wiz, it is very helpful in these spots.

Sounds like you've already answered your own question. You said that villain is TAG and hardly ever bluffs (that you know of). So given those facts and no other reads A9 should be a fairly easy fold.

If you start putting bluffs and a more LAG style into his game then A9 is more playable.

You don't have calling chips so you need to look for a "first in" opportunity, hopefully, with a similar holding. If you get called then you may be ahead, if not, then you pick up the blinds which are both very positive results at this stage of the tourney.

FYI, playing ABC poker at this level is a solid approach and should make you profitable until you can move up levels. Many players are foolish at this level so playing TAG is the best style IMO. There will be plenty of opportunities to pick up chips from donkeys playing crazy so just stick to your game and you'll be fine.

yeah, thanks for the replies : ) I'm just posting such hands to see how tight or loose I am because it feels like I'm jumping back and forth between the two

I've got sngwiz trial but I'm not very proficient using it so I don't really improve. I'm slowly reading stuff however and hopefully I'll be able to take full advantage of it very soon ^^
