Please try to be more patient and less rude with responses especially to new posters...If you cannot give a constructive answer just don't post in a thread...

What may seem obvious to you after playing so much can be totally new to someone and we all went through it...

this is a small stakes forum and it is here for people to feel comfortable asking questions...

If this stuff keeps up or I see repeat offenders I will have to take some action.

Humor is ok...being an A-hole or arrogant and superior is just bad...if that is your style BBV will be glad to have you

I think this is solid advice. I got into some bad habits for a while of being snarky just for the sake of it, but it isn't helpful, and it does make these forums more intimidating. Now I try to reserve my snarkiness for the people that really deserve it, by which I mean regular posters and, of course, anyone who has the audacity to disagree w/ me. Hopefully this doesn't mean an end to sarcasm entirely, because it does make threads more entertaining, but let's not confuse that with being mean.

to temper this a bit guys...humor is ok...jokes are ok...laughing with someone is ok...

just straightout mean and demeaning stuff is what I mean...simple rule...if you are offended by the simplicity of the question just don't answer it or if you think you see a pattern PM me or brandifan...course you can all fee free to flame me or Areaman (random example lolo) or any regular when we need a flaming

Pretty reasonable but I also think that if the OP, new or old, opens himself up to criticism and abuse, its deserved and okay.

To clarify what I mean by opening oneself up... Random example: some dude posts a hand, regs respond, then said dude argues vehemently that he is correct. Well, what's the point of posting then? Its almost reverse abuse, posting a hand just to rip the repliers and insist you're correct.

I really didn't say this well, but too lazy to clear it up. If you don't understand what I mean, my bad.

I agree 100% with this.

I think the sarcasm is the worst thing tbh.

When some1 posts a hand with KK and some1 jokingly says fold pre this is an obvious joke to the regs and well most people but probably not to new players who are occasionaly genuinely asking the question.

Seriously I got flamed a lot when I was new.... and imo everyone is just acting a little brokeback cause they are butt hurt or something. Yeah dont be a total rod and tackle but lets not start talking all proper and saying "I concur" regularly or anything.
