Can you use a wireless card to play on Party/Borgata? How about turning my phone into a mobile hot spot? I am going to be on the Jersey shore and am unsure of what the internet is like where I will be staying, so I wanted to have my own. Also, to the members, can you use either to play on WSOP or 888?

Hi

Hoping one of our posters can help here.

It depends on the other networks you have around you.

Geocomply scans the MAC addresses of the all wifi networks around you, and thats how your location is verified.

If you have neighbors with other wifi signals around you will be fine. If your hotspot is the only signal your computer can see then you won't get located.

This sounds correct.

I was hesitant to post because it's been so long since I dealt with this issue first hand.

But if I remember correctly, there is also an issue with proxies. Many wireless carriers use proxies when providing internet services / hot spots. And if you are being routed through a proxy, that too will not work.
