This. It worked fine until the latest software update. I would love to play cash games, but it is quite hard when it keeps opening empty tables.

So that lobby thing is not working anymore?
02-16-2014 , 06:21 AM
would be nice to atleast be able to be waitlisted for the full tables

It is amazing that they are so unresponsive on simple issues like this.

Crossing my fingers that maybe this Virgin/Trop venture will be awesome and steal all of the play so we don't have to deal with this crap any more.

I agree

Simple issue. We are now three months in and Party refuses to address it. One way or the other. Tell us that you're keeping the lobby this way or change it to the way every other god damned site does it. Or tell us what you're looking at and why you can't make a decision now. But tell us something because this lobby thing is just stupid. Same thing with refusing to show cards in all-in situations. The lack of a response on the issue just boggles the mind.
02-26-2014 , 03:29 PM
they have responded to this, not sure if it was in another thread or not, too lazy to look. but they said that the reason that the lobby is like this is because of a NJ regulation that requires players to be seated randomly at tables. i.e. allowing a player to pick and choose their seat would not be considered random. although the question could be asked, why is party/borgata the only site following this regulation?
02-26-2014 , 05:22 PM
There is no such regulation that requires players to be seated at random. The Party Rep said this on the first page of this thread:

Which I take to mean they weren't sure what the NJ regs were and were verifying. Well it's clear that no such reg requires this nonsense and at this point saying that it is just an excuse. It's clear that this issue can be fixed very quickly as a third-party programmer who knows the software well was able to fix it pretty quickly a couple months ago. Shame on Party for ignoring the players on this issue. If Stars was in NJ, Party wouldn't be able to get away with pulling something like this and still be the market leader.

Exactly.

How do you know that there is no such regulation? I contacted them and specifically asked them why players could not pick and choose their tables and they told it was because of a regulation that required players to be seated at random.

Because every other site running in NJ does it the normal non-******ed way?

niss, what do you play? Can you just play on WSOP and 888?

I saw this silly stuff with the tables and decided from Day 1 to not play on Party/ Borgata.
02-27-2014 , 12:37 PM
Spoke with somebody and I'm pretty sure this will become changed soon to be like party is for euros with tables showing.

No, I play Omaha, primarily higher stakes PLO8. The only place those games exist is Party/Borgata. Too bad.

That would be great.

It also would be great if the dedicated party rep intended to communicate with the users of 2+2 would have made an appearance and told us this (or anything) himself/herself.

Has there been any update on a better lobby or a way to display the better lobby that is already in the software but hidden again?

Seriously, it has already been proven to exist with a simple Registry Edit. This should be as simple as flipping a switch on Party's end. No reason they should be drawing this out so long.

Do you really think that's how it works? One guy is sitting there like oh **** jmertz22 and pipes are right, let me just click a few things and change it to whatever they want.
03-12-2014 , 12:12 AM
Yes. The lobby we all want is obviously already programmed into the software, some of us were using it until this update. How difficult can it be if there is no programming to do, no testing to do, no de-bugging to do, etc. I believe someone said a few posts back that they use the good lobby in Europe, so they know it works, and it isn't a company-wide policy. We also know it isn't against the regulations, or at least it isn't being enforced.

So again, I ask. What exactly is the problem here?
03-12-2014 , 12:52 AM
I'm assuming there is still a process and that any changes need to be approved by the dge and party and borgata. Its not like they are all in a room together and just raise their hands and vote. I agree it needs to be fixed and I'm gonna assume that eventually the lobby will be fixed to show tables.
03-12-2014 , 01:09 AM
On top of fixing the lobby, party needs to modify their software/layout/ color scheme/ other visuals. It's just awful. The 888 software is about 10x better and easier to see and multitable - not sure about the rest of the sites. I don't play on party because it literally tilts me when I can't get on a multiple tables and the software is crap.
