A suggestion for Party & Borgata: Aggregate waiting lists.

I believe this approach would give Party/Borgata everything they want (avoid bum-hunting and get new tables started) while still addressing a lot of the desires of the players. You could still keep an anonymous lobby, but allow waiting lists for a game type (instead of specific tables) for those who don't want to play short handed. If a seat opens up on a full table of that type, the first person takes it. But if the list ever gets at least 6 people long (for a 6-max table) then the first 6 people go start a full table.

I think this would help get more tables going because with the present lobby, a lot of people get up as soon as they're placed at an empty table. There might be several people doing the same thing. If they were all on a list, they could be playing sooner than waiting for a spot to open.

So Party/Borgata would keep their anonymous lobby, tables start more often, and players don't get placed at empty tables. It's win-win, right? Maybe this has been thought of before since it's so obvious. If so and it hasn't been implemented, what would be the reason?

(Yes, players, I know we would rather see the individual tables so we can see table stats and player names, but this compromise is better than what we have, and there's no downside for the site other than the cost of modifying the software.)

in my experiences, this is somewhat true. the number goes up, and then when you leave the talbe the number will stay for at least a few minutes until the system realizes there are 2 empty tables and closes one.

I agree it is unwieldy for limit holdem as traffic for those games is much much lower. In fact, quite often I'll see ONE table of each type and limit available and need to click on everything, only to find all empty tables. But then I'll randomly click again and find a three-handed game that seems to have been going for awhile. Not sure what the appropriate "fix" is, as I don't want the games to turn into regs refusing to play each other, bum hunting and camping out at tables a la pokerstars or tilt a few years ago. That certainly is not good for the viability and longevity of the games either.

Hi everyone!
Are you looking for it?

How did you get your lobby to look like that?

I can a lot of other things with the Party client.

Create file in Notepad with this text
Code:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\partyNJ\partypokerNJ]
"TABLEGROUP"=hex:6c,4f,30,77,4d,2b,46,61,47,50,38,3d,0a
save it as UnblockLobby.reg and execute it.

For Borgata poker section must be [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\theBorgata\BorgataPoker]

I would not trust a Russian with a patch even if my life depended upon it.

It's not even a program, it's just a registry key (although my programs used by hundreds of people around the world and nobody has complained). This key is used to switch the lobby view in all bwin.party poker clients.

Although if you do not like Russian, then that's your business, of course.

Racist much. Trust me if you met some of these people that you claim to hate your view point may change. They really are people just like you and me. Many of them are not cheaters and regular poker players. A bunch of people in Russia are very good with computers too. But not everybody is a malicious hacker.

Back off junior. That is just my opinion. No racism here. If I offended you my apologies, but to take it to the next level is just ignorant of your part. Stay classy Sir.

Anybody actually try this? Is this allowed by party/borgata to alter this? Maybe if the party rep could comment on this it would be appreciated.

It's gotta be against tos to do something like this

That being said, it's absurd that the software is crappy enough that an exploit can be executed so easily

What a ****ty scumbag site. I heard that party was made as a final project by an 8th grade computer class.

Did we ever get an answer on this? I'd love to do it, but don't want to violate any rules.

Exactly... not being able to see tables is just so frustrating. I don't want to have to play table roulette to sit at a full table rather than an empty one.
