Borgata Bug Steals all my chips in tourney Borgata Bug Steals all my chips in tourney

So all day as usual I'm dealing w location probs...everyone is sure frustrating but w/e...long story short i i have 3 tables up most importantly 50k w 22k chips.

I get disconnected in a 3bet pot w AQ but get to play out rest of hand and fold river to pot size over jam from 1st flatter. I'm in 2 other tourneys at the time 4 handed in a free roll and early early in a turbo. I close all tables reconnect i'm logged in only problem is that I got knocked out of all 3 tourneys...

Pretty absurd considering i was disconnected for 2 minutes. And should have 50+ bb in the 215.

I'm obviously on call and waiting for support I realize this is a party forum...just stating what is going on.

ok talked to support I don't know if anyone has had this prob but the support guy actually admitted I was just taken out of the tourneys. Hopefully I get the right equity and we're all good

Keep us posted on the outcome.

will do...to make it more clear last night after an hour of waiting on hold the tournaments that I was in...I was explained by my rep last night the location enable thing flat forfeited my chips in the system. He seemed to acknowledge the problem but refused to use the word glitch. He said that in 24-48 hours I should have a call back from him explaining how they will fix the situation for me. We shall see

Not too sure why you're surprised. This is their part and parcel their policy. It's stated quite clearly both in their FAQs, terms and conditions and in the pop-up window that comes up when your geo-location fails. I've complained about it quite a bit myself, but you're not likely to be given any kind of recompensation.

wait what? obviously when geo-location fails I snap close out everything and reboot. This has worked every time until yesterday, when I was forfeited out of my tourneys. I'm going to look into the game rules but my convo with rep made me feel like I was very like to get some sort of tickets or w/e back.

I don't think you read or maybe didn't understand the op. He's not talking about his hand getting folded in a cash game or something....

No, I understood. Borgata Poker's policy is should your geo-location fail to verify at any point during a tournament, if you are in a hand that hand is folded, and you place in the tournament as if you had lost all of your chips on that hand.

What but people are getting geo-location fails all day all the time...so out of the geo-location fails it states they can just forfeit all my chips...I did look thru the rules a bit on their site I didn't see anything that slightly hints towards this. I have yet to hear back I'm actually gonna call in a little bit wonder if any reps are working today.

Just got off with a rep the 1st rep said 24-48 hours they would be responding I'm at 36 hours so i gave them a call back no specialists are around. Tbh, when they gave the original time frame I didn't realize how much it was going to lap thru x-mas stuff. 2nd rep was very courteous and nice but nada he could do. Hopefully day after x-mas I can get on the phone w a game specialist or something of that nature. Happy holidays everyone.

Anyways gl on the felt too, I'm sure we will be at alot of final tables together fo sure

Can you link to where you read this policy?

alright about to give them a call and see what the deal is...just want to say I think its absurd that Party Rep is posting in this area and seemingly won't touch this thread with a 10 ft pole.

"WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I MOVE OUTSIDE NEW JERSEY WHILE I AM PLAYING?

At any point of time during your game play, if we identify that you are not physically located in New Jersey, all your games will be terminated. Your active hands in poker cash games will be folded. If you are in a poker tournament, your active hand will be folded, and you will be ranked immediately as if you have lost all your chips in the very same hand. Any of your unfinished Casino games are saved and will be available for you to finish them when you come back to the state of New Jersey."

Speechless (i was offered a single $215 ticket for my approx ~550-700 equity that was taken from me)

I want also people to be aware that i was at my house in Tuckerton and logged back in 2 mins later. Also, phone reps have openly admitted to the error on their side by 3rd party co doing the geo locations. I have 150 mbps internet speed and a back up ready at all times. This to me is clearly a glitch that could happen to anyone at anytime...This policy 100% needs to be changed and people need to be discouraged to playing on any site that has this policy. I don't know if this a standard NJ gaming policy law or something but I've legit never felt more cheated by online poker in my life.

Hope Party/Borgata changes their policy. That is such a ridiculous policy, particularly when they know how weak their geo-location technology is.

I'm putting this out there a lot...and this has effected other regs so its getting out there quickly...if they don't change i'm sure they'll fall right off the lead.

Either this is a Borgata only issue, or they're inconsistent about when they apply this rule. I've had geolocation fail a bunch of times on Party without having this happen.

yea as I over 100 times but you close out the software try it again and it works...apparently though the rule that i posted above is possible...so you have a chance of just forfeiting your chips...I guess that's why they call it gambling?
