I am planning a trip to AC, NJ next week.

Can I open and fund account from NY so I will be ready to hit the felt when I get to AC next week?

You can open it in NY, but you're not allowed to deposit unless you're physically inside NJ. Also, if you're planning on staying in a hotel then odds are you won't be able to connect to the sites, since the geolocation tech that is being used doesn't play well with hotel internet connections.

i'm not sure this is true. i think you can deposit from anywhere and just won't be able to play unless you're in nj.


also, depends no what hotel and whatnot, i talked to several people who played from casinos this week

I'm not sure if your home bank matters but I cannot deposit with BOA (my home bank is in NY) I saw some people able to post with BOA whose home bank was in NJ

from what i hear BoA is a problem even if you live in NJ

worked fine at showboat. doesn't seem to work ANYWHERE else. Tried in Wall NJ, then Long Branch NJ. Both stated i wasn't in the state.. Regardless of whatismyipaddress.com clearly stating where I was. Apparrently Cell Phone Triangulation is being implemented by tomorrow.

You can register/open an account with us from NY however you would not be able to fund it. The regulations demand that the customer be physically present in NJ to deposit or play on the account.
To confirm the physical location the system checks if the IP is leading to NJ and if the Wi-Fi is enabled in the system which you are using to access our site. In addition your system needs to detect at least 2 more Wi-Fi connections in addition to your Wi-Fi to successfully validate your location. Kindly confirm this availability in advance at the place in AC where you intend to stay.

Im in NY and setup my account...havent tried to deposit though

New Jersey does allow hard doc requests to be satisfied before entering the state, just not other verification systems.
