Hi Everyone-

Thank you all so much for your feedback on the inaugural New Jersey Championship of Online Poker (NJCOP). We appreciate your enthusiastic support of this series and your many comments, both positive and negative. We read them all, discussed them at length, and made numerous changes to our first iteration of the schedule. In some cases were able to clearly respond to suggestions (i.e. adding the $500 buy-in event, increasing the number of events and overall guarantees), and in other cases we were not (i.e. our software does not yet support HORSE tournaments).

After our revisions, partypoker is now pleased to announce we have increased the series guarantee by $100,000 and added 5 events for a grand total of $600,000 across 15 events! This excludes the prize pools of 2x 25-Seat GTD events we are running for our largest guaranteed events.

The Player's Choice Event has still yet to be decided. We will post the available options in a future post here so the community can both provide suggestions, and then vote on the event.

We look forward to your feedback on the series and wish you luck in the events!

Best Regards
Party_Rep

Will the 50K freeroll award 50K in cash PLUS everyone at final table gets tickets for rest of series? Or are the final table prizes the only payouts?

I really hope the weeknight tournaments have a faster structure than the weekend ones or you will turn away a lot of people who work full time during the week. Starting the main at 5pm is just too late. It should start at 2pm if you want this to really be a success. Its a MAIN EVENT..the buy in should be bigger than your normal $200 sundays. It is supposed to be special right?

Can we get a leaderboard promotion so we can crown a first NJCOP champion? Put up a WPT package or 10k for winner.

This second schedule is better than the first. Thanks for listening to a bunch of the posts. I think the regular rebuys and sattelite rebuys need to be fixed. The way they are structured now they get too deep too fast and no one rebuys because its kind of silly to gamble with such a large stack. Two possibilities are change rebuy size or make the structure faster earlier. Right now its 3k/3k/4500 for regular rebuys with 10 minute levels and 6 levels of rebuy. Level 7 is 100/200 and you can start with 10,500 buying in at the latest point. 50 big blinds is a lot in a slow structure when everyone has large stacks. Theres no pressure to have to build a stack or make a lot of rebuys.

I think the rebuys should be 1500/1500 and 3k or 4500 add on with a
25/50
50/100
75/150
100/200
100/200/20
125/250/25-last level to rebuy before addon
150/300/25-can start this level with 20 or 25bb depending on addon
the rest the same as the 20r 5k now

With the structure like this more people will rebuy and double rebuy to start and there will be less stack sitting and nittiness in the beginning. More towards the prize pool making it larger and more appealing, stacks will become deeper later with all the extra rebuys, its a better rebuy tournament structure. The one thats currently in place is more like a single rebuy add-on tournament where it starts real deep and you cant rebuy multiple times.

Lowering rebuy amount and adjusting the structure like this will force people into more standard spots and force rebuys. As it is now its easy for someone to have 100bb and play passive by calling preflop alot and avoiding coolers. Its way harder to get 100bbs all in preflop than it is for 30-60. There will be alot more flips and standard hands like 99 vs QQ instead of people just calling and protecting their stacks for the minimum.

Party Rep --

Thank you for considering and making changes to the initial schedule. Is this schedule final or are you still tinkering (other than with the player's choice)?

Because if you're still considering suggestions:

(1) Add a PLO8 tournament.
(2) Increase the PLO from $50 to $100.

Plo tournaments should also be 6-max. 9 max plo is terrible.

i have 4 "sunday 50k tournament tickets".. will i be able to use these to buy into these events?

Glad to see the $500 High Roller and a Bounty were added, ty.

Agree that the Main Event should start earlier than 5pm, also wouldn't mind seeing the buy in kicked up a little for it, $300 would be fine imo.

Didn't even notice that. Every PLO cash game on Party is 6-max and the tournament will be full ring? LOL.

Just sat no PlO8!

Don't cater to NJNITS!

But def we need a leaderboard, and wish the freeroll had some type of requirement - (earn x points, play x tourneys whatever - would benefit the real players)

Agree I wish the freeroll had some sort of requirement, even if it was super small like earning 10 points or making a deposit or something. Obviously prefer it to be bigger, but even a small hurdle would add a ton of value.

I love the fact that the everyone at the FT will receive an entry into all of the events, which is worth about $2k. I'm assuming that those entries are in addition to the $50k that is being paid out.

If this event was timed better, I think there could have been a leaderboard with the top prize being an entry into the WPT World Championship. Even though that scenario won't work due to timing, I still hope that some semblance for a leaderboard is put together for this series.

I also play a full schedule every night across all sites and agree with what wildman and Vinny and gags have said.

Maybe the NJ sites could do something along the same lines as Stars does with their semi-annual player rep meetings, but on a more regular basis here in NJ. Inviting some of the regular players here in NJ who have been playing the sites since they launched to meet with the people who make the schedule/decide what games to offer would be an easy and inexpenisve way for the sites to understand their satisfaction level and to find out what their customers want.

Or like wsop did, have an opening freeroll and then another one at the end, open only to those who played in one of the series.

That would likely get more players to pony up for one of the other events, as they are in effect getting 2 entries for one buyin.

TY for listening partyrep! I believe that the series will smash all of the gaurentee's and set a high benchmark for future series.

Also thank you for adding in the highroller tourney!

Oh and LOL/go away/don't play the tournament if you don't understand the game. Or better yet, DO play the tournament if you don't understand the game.
