New NJ loyalty store... coming soon! New NJ loyalty store... coming soon!

09-22-2015 , 08:42 AM
Hi all

Starting in October we have a new loyalty store program coming your way and I wanted to share the news with you first!

I cant give away too much just yet as the team are playing their cards close to their chests- however I can confirm you can expect more return on your game play including - cash rewards, high-value tourney tickets and casino bonuses.

Going forward all loyalty levels will change monthly.
The points you earn in September will determine your loyalty level in October - this is what you need to aim for -

Silver - 50 points per month
Gold - 750 points per month
Palladium - 2000 points per month

Please note - no current bonuses will be affected and current loyalty points can be used for a limited time in October

I look forward to providing a further update when possible and of course we will be updating the site with all information.

Thanks

Colette

Are you going to roll over the current loyalty points or just have them expire sometime in October?

They specifically said they are rolling over existing points.

The only thing to note is that the points you earn this month will set your tier for October based on the new (not the current) point tier system.

So at least in the case of PartyPoker, it seems like a potentially very good thing.

Borgata has made no announcement. Since they have been expiring points and removing our tickets, it stands to reason they may have a different plan in mind.

The following is a direct quote from the email they sent about this change:

"What about the points and bonuses I’ve already accumulated?

No worries there; your bonuses won’t be affected and your loyalty points are useable after October 1st as well."

So if we only keep our points for a limited time, they should have included that information. Let's see how long that roll over period is.

watch for changes in the store. betcha they gonna foreeople to use their points by the end of oct then roll out the "new improved points store offerings" once people have been forced to use them. ie- trying to create more incentive to stockpile a mass of points to get the more desireable good stuff that wasnt around before.

wouldnt be suprised if some popular store offerings that some have been used to taking advantage of werent there in oct anymore. or at least some of them.

bottom line is its going to be spend up all soon or lose them. the way they do things the "full new points store" probably wont be around until after the points expire except for maybe some bonuses with ridiculous play through requirements.

so its a coin toss on whether to spend them before oct on things you might buy like tickets and such that are still in the store. or take your chances on being forced to spend them in oct. keep in mind they say the loyalty structure changing and from what ive seen here silver and the lower tiers are more do-able and next months tier will be based on points earned in sept for the new structure - SO THAT MEANS THE PRICES OF THINGS IN THE STORE WILL BE INFLATED (more than likely) AS MORE PEOPLE WILL HAVE ACCESS TO THE REDUCED RATES OF HIGHER TIERS.

I don't blame you for thinking the worst. But actually, the new system makes it harder, not easier to reach Gold and above. I don't necessarily agree with that part, but I don't think that "more people will have access to the reduced rates of higher tiers." At least not automatically.

Just more Silver players, which is probably the way it should have been all along.

I must give credit where it's due. The new points store is a huge improvement.

On the downside, for those who amass enough points they have gotten rid of all the high ticket items for now. I never had enough points at one time for any of those things anyway.

On the upside, there are finally tournament tickets and cash bonuses that can be used at reasonable point values.

PartyPoker did a good job with this one.

Surprised more people haven't weighed in here.

Also surprised by what appears to be a "Wait and see" approach from the Borgata side.

Question came up in another thread. I think this new points store is generally a very good development.

Still, I am curious: is PartyPoker ever going to add back any physical items like the ones that used to be in the store? Or is it going to a 100% bonus $ / tickets approach?

It's been a little while since the new store was introduced. Would love some feedback if the company is happier with the results so far.

Hi Ghost

As far as I have been informed - and based on the same change in our ROW loyalty store - we have no plans to reintroduce merchandise to our store - rewards will be cash, bonus and ticket focused for the time being.
We feel this offers better value for our players

Thanks

Colette
