Got a 0 slot bonus from scratch off card on Party Poker? Got a 0 slot bonus from scratch off card on Party Poker?

This might be a stupid question, but If I play with that money & lose it all, would I have to pay that money back in some way even though it's just a bonus? I'm thinking about just opting out on it since giving $100 for free just like that seems a bit sketchy.

The $100 is not yours yet. Its ridiculous how they do this, but when you opt in to your bonus, you see it immediately post to your acct, but you cannot use it to buy in games or poker. You have to meet the requirements, then the amt gets released.

So, I could play with the $100 & even lose it all & not have to give anything back at all? I just find all this weird since it's weird how they could put $100 in your account like nothing. I know there's a stipulation towards it where you have to wager $500 in the casino to be able to withdraw it, but it just all still seems odd to me.

I don't think it will let you use that specific $100 for anything until you clear it. AKA if you have $200 in account, then unlock the bonus, it reads $300 in your account, but only $200 is available. It's ludicrous and gives you the idea you have more money than you actually do, and you need to gamble FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS to clear that $100, and there are no incremental releases, so it's all or nothing. The promo is nice but incredibly deceitful and leads you to believe you have money that you don't actually have.

If you lose the whole $100, that is not a big deal. No negative consequences to you there. You just lost.

The problem occurs when you lose half of that $100 and did not gamble the $500. Let's say that you only gambled $100 and still have $50 of their money in your account. When the promo expires, it will subtract the amount that you did not qualify for based on their promotion rules. So 20% means it would subtract $80, and you only have $50 of theirs so you lose $30 of yours.

This seems like a bug to me, but this is the kind of problem I have had with this. I believe this is what people are warning others about. If you must lose their bonus on the slots, lose it all, or try to gamble the required amount ($500 in this case) and then stop and keep whatever's left as soon as you do.

that might explain some of the glitches i mentioned earlier in this thread. ive experienced it all ways and getting screwed- that is letting it expire, opting out early. potentially other ways that the above wouldnt explain.

the above doesnt seem like a glitch to me. it seems just like a very cleverly designed loophole to catch the wary offguard - then the usual runaround with the bs with cs where they tell you there is nothing they can do.

in my opinion its bad business and shady not to clearly state it somewhere in the TOC of the bonus. i cant help but wonder what the DGE would feel about this

I advise you to go to the DGE website and try to figure out how to point out problems.

They have a "form" that is so generic it does not even appear to be applicable to most of the problems on this site. Because most of the site problems are global, not user specific.

Has the DGE ever held town hall meetings? Do they have an open Q&A that anybody knows about?

It drives me crazy when I log on and see I have X amount of dollars, then don't play and the next time I'm down $50 or whatever since the bonus money disappears. It's hard to keep track of how much is in my account. At first I thought I might have logged in after a few drinks and forgotten about it or I'd been hacked.

Your actual cash total and the bonus money should be listed separately.

but they want people to get it mixed up so they make a mistake and dip into their actual cash (losing track of how much bonus money is left)
