It also informed the person to whom I was responding that if offensive chat is reported to the poker site, most sites will ban the offender's chat. There is nothing else in the post.

This reads like a statement, not a question. Further bolstering that interpretation is that it ends with a period and not a question mark. My understanding was that this was a statement, not a question.

Re: Gender equality in poker is always salient & relevant

Why is that cikaman?

Are you not personally affected emotionally when you are forced to witness one player disrespect another through use of the chat box.
Have you ever felt another's pain when she was called such terrible names through the chat box?
Are you an educated man?

Most of us have been through enough in our lives to justify saying we are all educated somewhat in the game of life.

Through your online poker journey, how many instances have you witnessed your piers use the racist term n_ _ g _r ; as though they just exited out of their weekly hate group convention?

Are you so determined on your mission's objective that your emotional state is not affected after you witness someone victimized by such backward & hateful behavior?

If your determination to win outweighs your human consciousness associated with feeling a potential victims pain, than please, you could not be more correct. This thread is not for you.

Please. Go back to your "my favorite video game thread" & continue your in depth discussion...

for threads that engage in gender equality, social fairness, morality, & a search for a greater is good is seemingly not meaningful enough for a personality such as yours.

Re: Gender equality in poker is always salient & relevant

If automated messages from a company that refer to people as "his" or "him" rather then "his/her" or "him/her" and/or mean and disparaging chat typed into the chat box of an online poker table by an unseen person at unseen people, whether it is directed at you or a third party, actually upsets you as much as you've stated that it does and as much this thread makes it seem like it does, then you probably have a problem that you should deal with. I imagine there would be a lot of pitfalls, anxiety, upsetting events and overall stress going through life this over sensitive.

This whole thread must be a troll. I would rather be dead than ever have any of these thoughts that you're beaking about.

Re: Gender equality in poker is always salient & relevant

So I'm sorry I need a moment here.

You would rather no longer exist (assuming we actually do) than search for a greater good for a greater amount of people?

So please show me cica"man". What are you I'm search for? If your journey is anything remotely positively contributing to society, I give you my word, I will neither say nor do anything to try an sabotage your little mission. I'll let you be on your way & wish you all the success one could have on one's little journey.

I will not make an effort to belittle or attack your ideology or vision for a greater good. I will not insult your little vision nor will I try to make a mockery of it.

If I happen to disagree with your journey, I will simply "let you be", & go in my own direction. I will neither contribute nor sabotage your journey , for who am I to stand in the way of someone's little dream.

I will simply agree to disagree with you & show you nothing but respect b/c at least you've shared your little vision of a simple potential way of making our microcosm of society a tad better for all.

So share with us cika"man".

What is your vision?
I shared mine.

Now is your chance cika. What journey are you on?

The floor is yours. Share with us now.

Today is Tuesday February 3, 5:47am . The cika "man" has been asked to share his little vision for a greater good with the rest of us.

We've been waiting cika. Now is your time to shine.

I'm guessing this was never addressed? More important issues abound, but it seems like this could be rectified pretty simply.

Hi

This was indeed addressed by myself and its been ongoing- albeit the time frame has been rather extended due to other issues which have taken priority.

I can confirm the change suggested by the OP was taking on board and applied to our .com (worldwide) poker clients and is awaiting release on our NJ product.

Kind regards,

Colette

Step 1. Get banned.

Step 2. Create new account.

Step 3. Profit.

(Admittedly, Step 3 requires some river suck-outs.)

Such a small matter for such a verbose string of posts by OP.

Apparently you did not read the material thoroughly.

Op already touched base on the "importantance of the issue" opinion.

Important to one is not necessarily important another. Therefore,"importance" is irrefutably a subjective point of view.

Having that backward use of the English language removed from the chat box (forever & even after we're gone) may very well have been regarded as highly important to many; especially for the woman and those of us who aim & strive for solely what is right.
