I used to like befriending people & always would accept friend requests, but one major flaw dettered me from using the friend feature. The constant "dings" were loud, disruptive & too overwhelming whenever any of my friends would sign on. Furthermore, when everyone & their mother was getting geolocation booted I soon became terrified & borderline psychotic b/c of the "DINGGGGGS".

I set aside 12hrs one day in order to call customer service regarding the terror friend "dings" . The scary rep said absolutely nothing will be done or will ever be done about the "dings" .

I felt doomed . Thus, I used the cool off rescource provided & got away from the computer for a month. I tried to run but the evil "ding" followed me . I had nightmares for weeks "ding" "ding" evil "ding" soon possessed me.

I then committed myself to shady Akers mental hospital in Tampa for the insane. I soon found other party poker players institutionalized for the exact same reason. Some other x-fball player was there in a tutu , but that's neither here nor there. Anyhow, b/c we shared the common evil entity inside of us, we were able to join together to fight the evil. After years of meditating in a circle on the front lawn of the looney bin, one sunny Thursday afternoon spontaneously simultaneously (or S squared), the evil creature buried inside of us was driven out of our bodies & seeped under the ground back to hell where it belonged.

After my cleansing from the mental house, I got back in the game. I immediately engaged in the painstaking emotional burden of erasing all 6 of my friends for reasons I feel we know already.

While back in the game, I soon found my friends from the looney home playing as well. We got a private room & played 2nl together & all laughed frowned cried & smiled for days & days together.

Some say it's a myth, some say it's real but legend has it that a player was slow-rolled on the site once. The slow rolled victim went out for revenge. Instead of setting 14hours aside in order to call a party rep, he took matters into his own hands; "the old fashioned way." Well actually the new fashioned malicious way, but I've been waiting a life time to say "the old fashioned way", but I couldn't wait any longer so I used it there.
The player moved into an old abandoned attic on the south side of town & purchased a router & created an account under the alias "jimmyice" & began to manipulate the slow rolling assailant into thinking he was a friendly boy looking for a buddy. Ice chest went in for the kill & friend requested the slow roller. The slow roller happily accepted. He had no idea he just signed off on his demonizing demise. The ice man chest then drove to the border of nj with his computer & intentionally stood precisely on the borderline of both states. He methodically & repetitively moved his computer inside & outside of nj so party poker wouldn't be able to confirm that he was in nj. The ice box chest repeated the action over 18,000 times; signing off & on each & every time "dinging" the slow roller into psychosis. Ice chesty, unbeknownst to him I assume, could've remained in the confines of his own newly rented old attic to commit his revenge. Party poker wouldn't have been able to confirm he was in nj if he was sitting on Chris Christies toilet nm outside the state. Wait. To carry out the revenge isnt that why he rented the new shi-t hole in the first place?
Anyhow, worse off than other "ding" victims , the slow roller had nobody to share his illness with, for we were all cured by then. Thus, he had to sit on the front lawn by himself outside the kookoo bin & meditate in his white looney suit. Passer buyers would see him by himself & throw eggs at him & yell at him, thus he couldn't focus enough to stir up the amount of energy needed to rid him of the evil "dingy".
To this day, people say he is still out there in the kookoo house meditating & playing ping pong. The slow roller turned evil "ding" victim was known as "big tony".

The moral of this legend is don't slow roll & don't be friends with anyone on party poker. Just be content with the fact that we are all degenerate , isolated, anti-social computer junkies. We are not built for friendships.

A long time ago, I went crazy from these dings too. Then I figured out there was some setting to disable these notifications. I went searching so that I could tell you how I did it. The only problem is, I cannot find it in the Options or Friends menus.

If I remember correctly, when a notification pops up there is a little setting link attached to it. If Party_Rep or some other user can add more detail to this, that would be awesome.
