Borgata Poker Client Won't Open Borgata Poker Client Won't Open

12-12-2013 , 11:12 PM
After having an issue with a small, blank error window popping up randomly, I decided to uninstall and install the Borgata Poker client in order to fix the issue. I've now ended up with a much worse issue, when I try to open the Borgata software it will begin to go to the login screen and then flash the "table stacking" feature on my second monitor. It will go back and forth between the login screen and the table stacking screen about 3 or 4 times before the software completely shuts down. During this time I'm unable to click anything, the sequence just carries out exactly the same each time I attempt to open it.

What I've tried thus far:
-Uninstalling through Windows uninstall and also through the Borgata uninstall and then reinstalling
-Attempt the same process on my laptop to confirm it's an issue on my PC only (which it is)
-E-mailed support with a similar explanation to what you see here
-Called customer service, waited 45 minutes before getting someone on the line. Explained the situation briefly and was told I must send in an e-mail and they will escalate it from there. I explained I waited 45 minutes to get someone on the phone and was told "this is the process for everyone"

Other Notes:
-I've been playing on the software for nearly 2 weeks on my PC without any issue outside of the bothersome small error windows that popped up and swayed me to uninstall in the first place
-I have PT4 installed incase that could create this issue. PT4 has worked successfully for about a week now on my PC

Has anyone had a similar issue?

Update: I've tried every combination of uninstalling the Borgata software, PT4, and removing all associated files and restarting my computer. Nothing seems to fix this issue.

I've also run Ad-Aware and Norton Antivirus in hopes that this was simply a malware or virus issue.

After calling, e-mailing and posting this thread here, I've heard nothing back from Borgata/Party Poker support. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

The same problem happened to me yesterday on my desktop and I tried the same fixes with no luck. I'm running XP.

Don't have a working laptop to try side by side. Also not running PT or HEM

Sent email to CS and will be playing elsewhere until whenever this gets fixed.

FWIW, I do not have the same problem on my desktop at the Party site, at least not yet.

After multiple attempts to correct this issue, I finally received this e-mail back from Borgata Support. They failed at any attempt to help and instead just made note of the fact that I've since logged on to play poker on their website (so I suppose they assume the issue was fixed). The play they saw was from my laptop. My patience is growing thin with this issue.

Thanks for your response, at least I now know that I'm not the only one having this issue. Any resolution for you so far? At this point I'm just hoping the next update fixes it.

I'm unable to get a login prompt for either the Borgata or Party clients. The login window comes up, but it never displays the user name / password fields.

I can see that there are only 84 people logged on at the moment, so I'm assuming many more people are also having this issue.

Running Windows 7 on a desktop. All was working fine last night.

Party Rep - is someone looking into this issue?

Edit: Guess I'll go play on 888 or WSOP now instead

same problem now, and I see this 1 guy taking down a tournament collecting blinds.

Same. Pretty annoyed as I watch these one or two guys that are actually playing freerolling it in the hyper turbos.

Update: It has now been 2 full weeks of trying to work with Borgata's support team and resolve the issue of their poker client not opening on my PC.

I've explained to them the importance of getting a customer like myself up and running. I'm an 8 table mid-stakes cash game grinder and am willing to start games. In other words, a target customer.

Each response from them offers a lesser quality suggestion then the last. Here is their latest attempt to correct my issue (or to buy themselves some time, as they only response every 4-6 days).

Dear ***,

Thank you for contacting Borgata Online Gaming Customer Service.

I am writing in regards to issue with the application flashing on your screens. I have checked with our technical team and they have asked that you try disconnecting one of the two monitors to isolate the issue and confirm if it still happens so we can advise further.

Also, for anyone who has a similar issue please post here.

cliff note of issue:
Borgata Poker software won't openly correct. It "flashes" between the login screen and the table stacking feature 4 times before closing itself.

Here is my problem with the Borgata software. Not sure if it is the same problem. I open the software and it goes to the login screen. Enter my screen name and password then press login. It then goes to the screen like normal but it did not log me in. I try again and again. The results are the same but the kicker is some days the software will work. I try Party Poker and no problems what so ever. How is that possible that they use the same software platform and one has major issues?

Bump. The only updates I can give on my issue of the client not opening properly are that (1) support seems to have stopped responding to me altogether and (2) I was hoping the next software update would fix the issue and it hasn't

At this point it has been over a month since I've first notified Borgata of this issue. Over that time I've continued to try to troubleshoot and fix the problem on my own. Can anyone offer any advice to what may be causing this issue?

I periodically checked and never saw improvement. Also Never got a response. However, when I tried this weekend and was unsuccessful the first time I looked to see where the "x" in the upper right corner of the stacking screen was located thinking maybe I could close the cycling by clicking the. "X" to close the stacking screen. It flashes quickly so I just positioned the cursor and clicked like crazy. The flashing continued to cycle but it eventually stopped and I was able to get to a stable sign in screen and access the sight. maybe a lucky coincidence, maybe it's something - regardless, I'm sharing in case it helps someone else. I'm pleased to report that after 5 weeks of attempts to fix the issue, it has finally been RESOLVED! The tricks seems to have been to delete Borgata using the registry editor. Instructions below for anyone else with a similar issue:

1. Unistall Borgata Poker and delete the installation folder
2. Check with search is it uninstalled and deleted
3. Go to Registry
4. Locate Borgata Poker there and delete it.
