The response I received after the long wait of their "thorough investigation", SMH. Did anyone else receive a similar reply?

Wait so the issue with their software crashing and closing is with my isp? This is just plain insulting. Anyone with a brain knows that a program will not close suddenly because of my ISP.

these people are so lazy and pathetic smh
12-18-2014 , 07:28 PM
Could these issues be caused by DOS/DDOS attacks ?

No, DDOS attacks are directed at their servers, not individual players.

I, too, am fed up with the nightly crashes, with no disconnect protect, which always seem to happen when I have a made hand. I've followed this thread with hope, and have lost most of my hope. Where should I sign up? I play 4-to-6 tables of $10NL - $50NL 6 max (preferably the higher limits, but wherever I can find decent tables). It's been hard from searches to find much of a consensus on the NJ sites.

Perhaps if this thread becomes a referral thread for defectors, PP/Borg will actually have some incentive to fix this problem instead of insulting our intelligence!

Used to happen about an hour in of playing, now it's happening 10 mins into the session

You are not entirely correct here. Although it may not apply with this problem there is nothing to stop somebody from targeting a specific user via a DOS attack.

Your home router / computer is not too different from a server as far as a DOS attack goes; it's just another node that can be attacked and compromised.

Have to agree.

We shouldn't blame these poor reps. But whoever is creating and giving them these bolier-plate email responses needs to be reprimanded and given a different job.

This has got to be one of the strangest software problems I have ever seen.

Software is complex, and every system is slightly different. Still, why did mine stop crashing and so many people have their problems getting worse?

Just as a general consensus, are all the people still having this problem on Windows 7, Windows 8, Mac, what?

Also, do you guys do weekly system updates?

Just note: mine stopped crashing BEFORE the recent software update so that wasn't what fixed it for me.

Happened on my old PC got a new $2000 laptop two weeks ago still happening

Software crashes every session for me. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, and also upgraded from windows 7 to windows 8, neither helped.

Very disappointing that Party is trying to blame this on ISPs, that's obviously not the problem.
12-22-2014 , 01:19 PM
It's not the ISPs. WSOP and 888 stay running smoothly.
12-22-2014 , 06:24 PM
Happens to me everyday, was around 40-45 minutes into session now it is shorter. I can generally get back in before I miss a hand tho.

I am writing this message to inform you that i and many other players who are from NJ and discuss poker on 2+2 have been experiencing table crashes from the borgata/party online software during hands and returning to the table and not being able to play the hands. On my account alone it has cost me several thousand dollars. I and many others have been in contact with borgatas support staff and they have returned to us with a range of issues that it is ISP issues on our end or PC issues all of which are frankly untrue and as a computer scientist down right insulting. I even went out and bought a $2,000 new laptop to see if it would fix the issue which it did not.The issue happens on 3 different computers at 3 different locations with different Internets. Currently my case is under review but i wanted to file a formal complaint with the DGE. Members of the NJ poker community have spoken with higher ups from borgata months ago informing them of the issue and they have refused to take steps to either rebuild the software or fix the issue. Here are some examples of hands i had during a recent freeze.

6:01pm
Table Gloucester
Hand A2o on the btn
Table Belleville
96o on the btn
Table Lawrence
Hand K9s on btn
Table Sayreville
Hand J5o in MP(HJ)

with this error message

http://gyazo.com/db831c64dbdba9bff05197d51af5c2c1

I know the DGE upholds the highest standard among the services online gaming provides and i would expect an investigation into this matter. I can't imagine its illegal or within the guidelines that tables are crashing on hundreds of players during mid play and sitting them out from hands when real money is at hand. I look forward to a response and inquiry into the matter. My support case is under my user name ***** on the borgata software player name Mario64. Thank you.
I urge all players experiencing this issue to record the time of the event the table name and the hands you had if possible and every time there is a freeze bombard the DGE contact email. If borgata will not fix the issue as has been mentioned by other users we need to inform the DGE the more people that voice their problems the faster this can be addressed.

I wouldn't have as much of an issue if it didn't take ~5 seconds to geolocate - that's what kills the hand most of the time

haven't been following this thread but just wanted to put in my feedback. party crashes at least once per night for me. it happens regardless of what other programs are using (including whether i use a HUD or not).

quite annoying...

And tonight, out of nowhere, I got the freeze again.

Spoiler:
Best of all, it happened when I was heads up for the win and the guy went all-in when I had the nuts.

LOL

This seems to be a trend.

Well at least I had a few weeks without crashing.

*sigh*

They imply with their "crash questionnaire" that using a HUD makes you crash more.

I too have played with and without and it makes no difference.

Don't know why it happens daily for some and rarely for others but I am hoping this problem is solved before GSSS 2.

Hi all,

We are aware of the outstanding MFC errors and believe we have identified the cause and our teams are currently working on a permanent fix

We hope to have this in place commencing 5th Jan

I will keep you all up to date and feedback any planned changes

We do appreciate your patience and would like to express our gratitude to the players who have submitted detailed logs concerning this which helps the team isolate and identify the root cause

Kind regards,

Colette

Finally got a response from borgata in regards to teh crashing and im not very happy about it. Basically this is the response i got in an attempt to cover there bases of not having to compensate users of the losses they have exp and extend the investigation probably up to the point of a new update of the servers prior to the GSS so they can sweep this under the rug.

@PartyRep if this is the case why am i getting this email?

This response is just unacceptable. Just sucks that we have no other options but to play on there.

It is clearly unacceptable. This month i finished 5th in the grind promo so basically 5th in overall rake on the site. In my support email and conversation with a supervisor i made it crystal clear that the issue is happening on my brand new laptop my old laptop, my g/fs laptop and at 3 different locations with 3 different Internets. It is clearly there falt and they just dont want to credit me with compensation. If their top cash cows are clearly upset it goes from the top down. No one will want to stay with them once a sustainable alternative arises quite a shame. I mean for christ sakes im running a 24GB mem, latest graphics, i7 processor, and a 256gb SSD. If it cant work on that it cant work on any computer.

If it's so annoying, just play wsop. And yes, it will happen on any machine. You can alter ur java jvm settings though to allocate a bigger heap size so it doesn't happen as often though.
