Borgata/Party crashes on a nightly basis Borgata/Party crashes on a nightly basis

01-31-2015 , 10:00 AM
I was unable to connect last night from 530P.M. until 12P.M., which then I gave up and went to bed. I am a pretty loyal customer, and I am starting to get turned off, and thinking about my other options.

This morning I am still getting a lagged connection, and Geolocation is saying I am not in NJ. Restarting doesn't help. Hahahh this is getting worse. FANTASTIC!

I have had 0 trouble connecting and staying connected to 888.
I will play there by necessity until the Borgata fixes these technical problems.

I have Fios. All of my tables where incredibly laggy today. Eventually, everything froze up, disconnecting me in the middle of all of my hands. I was unable to log back in and unable to access the online poker area of Borgata's site. How is this not fixed yet?

WSOP.com works fine.

Warren Lush is our PR and no longer with Party

If you contact CS and feel you have had no response please do send myself a PM - I will follow these up on Monday

However, please do contact CS in the first instance via email or telephone

Thanks,

Was able to reach cust service today and log a complaint for the second tourney I was unable to play in due to the problems Borgata is having with Verizon.

I chatted with "Yaroslav" this time.

Does anyone have any personal emails or phone numbers so I can have a single point of contact. Obviously I am not playing on the site anymore until it gets resolved, but I am out $25 and a bit frustrated.

from 1:30 AM to 3:00 AM I had no issues..... Trying to play today and it is a joke. I just deposited on WSOP. Pretty pathetic this is how a website is run

Received this email from borgata yesterday

Played later in the night, and the software still crashed on me as usual. Plus the daily 10k froze for a bit. While i went on break from other tournaments, I come back, only to see that play resumed while I was away (during the standard break time), only to see I folded a pair preflop and of course would've flopped a set SMH.

More lies from borgata/party

This is the ####ing problem with Borgota/Party poker, like another user said, "They need a culture change for customer service. The reps are giving misinformation, or blatantly lying to us the customers.

Either there is a huge miscommunication from tech support to the CSR's, or it's straight up bull. Then I would assume they don't even get the right information about what is going on with us who use VERIZON. SMH....

I mean all they have to do is check this thread to see we are still having the same issues. EVEN THIS MORNING!!!

HOW IS THIS OKAY, WITH MANAGEMENT? MISINFORMATION IS JUST AS BAD AS SAYING, "WE ARE INCOMPETENT!"

This is exactly how I feel... It's just incredible that they treat their customers so poorly, especially now that they are a company licensed in NJ. I've come to expect so little from them. I do not expect to be compensated for their software errors, I gave up trying to get 5000 borgata points that they owed me. It's incredible how low my standards are for this site... If they didnt have the most traffic I'd be gone, but unfortunately its my best option to grind so I deal with it. But to have a problem with a ISP logging into the site is over the top inexcusable. Fix this fkn software. Hire software engineers that know what the hell they are doing. How difficult is this? Anytime the party rep posts in this thread it's generic BULLSHT. No answers are ever given, they are always "getting back to management", "relaying these messages", etc. ****ING DO SOMETHING. I COULD WRITE THE RESPONSES THAT YOU GIVE.

I pray, pray, pray that users flock to Stars/FTP when it comes back, because right now that's the only other option I have.

So right now I can get to Party where I can get tables to show, but I cannot log in so I can't play. I really am done. Instead of having to give Party a litany of information about this that I know they already have, I am just going to play at WSOP.

edit: oh look, the whole thing just crashed, and now we're at the update where it gets all the way up to 0% and then doesn't move. This is ridiculous.
01-31-2015 , 07:19 PM
I'm actually logged in and everything is moving pretty quickly. First time this has been the case during the 6pm hour in a while.

I think we've successfully raised the issue with Party. Now it's just a matter of it getting fixed.
01-31-2015 , 07:24 PM
I have started getting a horrendous noise, followed by Party trying to open some window for itself, the software freezing and going into a loop for about 30 seconds before crashing into the MFC error. Before when I got the MFC error(which was occasional) it would just happen out of the blue. Restarting Party seems to fix it, but that doesnt give me my money back...I am nicknaming this one the "death spiral."

Its like a constant windows error sound? Happens from time to time.

Yes, kind of like that, there is some sort of table box that it keeps trying to open in the lower right hand corner but can't. Before, it would just freeze and crash and I wouldn't get the MFC error. Lately it had been doing that then MFC closing.

Yeman-were you using FIOS?

To be clear the FIOS issue and the crashing issue are not connected. I am on Comcast and it happens nightly. It also happens to me on two other ISPs so its not related to that either.
02-01-2015 , 07:52 AM
I'm on FIOS and have been playing 888 all week since the Borgata crashes.
Not 1 difficulty to report with 888/FIOS

Borgata support tells me "they're working on it" and to call Verizon.
Please-find a new script.

Until confidence is restored in the platform, users will vote with their feet and play elsewhere.

Today I received a message back from a Party Poker Customer Support Representative in regards to the Verizon FIOS connectivity issues I and many others have been having. The rep sounded like they were actually trying to figure out the problem, and requested certain information. Instead of freaking out, whining, telling them how horrible they and their product are, I responded accordingly with the information they asked for. Positivity breeds positivity, negativity breeds negativity. Inaction results in nothing, actions results of reaction. I believe in effective, productive communication to resolve issues. Below is the e-mail sent to me from Party Poker...

Below is the trace report I ran, which is interesting because all the *** represent request timeouts. All occur after leaving the Verizon Gateway...like I have been saying all along not on Verizon's side.

Finally, I sent them the ping request which is just hilarious because look at the Request Time Out issue...

If anyone wanted proof that it is not on Verizon's side and is on Borgota/Party Poker's side here it is. So here is my hand Party Poker (I'm all in, Party Poker calls), time for you to be honest and show yours...You going to Muck it up?

By the way in the original e-mail Party Poker sent me they explained how to do the process for Windows users. I am a Mac user and thank God that I am computer savvy or I would not have been able to provide the info they requested. I let them know this in my follow up e-mail. If any other Mac users need help sending Party Poker the info and how to get the info, PM me. The process for Mac and Windows users is different. Thanks all.

Very nice Hip. I agree very much with your message of positivity.
02-01-2015 , 12:14 PM
Mateo is right. The software crashes every 2 hours or so regardless of which ISP you are using. The FIOS problem is different and not related. I cannot open the program or see the tables(before I couldn't download it even). Thankfully I have other ISP I can use so I can play.

It's great that they are looking into the problem(though I would imagine a problem like this is easy to solve with a moderate level of tech knowledge in that area) but then what so the have to say about the 2 phone calls and 2 emails I received eagerly letting me know it was fixed and that I shouldn't experience any More crashes?

You are right that we shouldn't yell at the people trying to help solve the problem and it's great that you found someone that is. However, that doesn't mean that writing emails, calling the DGE, tweeting at them, even angrily, should not be done. Treating the company with kid gloves doesn't work because they excel at "sending it to the proper department" or "looking into it" until you forget about it. I requested my hand histories 3 weeks ago and have followed up several times with the same BS response. Should I offer to buy them cookies when they finally get around to doing that thing that every other company would have done immediately?
