Last night (1/29/15) I was basically blinded out of a tourney due to connection problems. I videoed the frequency of connection error messages. I was using the Borgata software. Eventually, after many disconnects, the software locked up and I could not get back in at all.
During this nightmare I could easily reach any other web site via Firefox>FIOS. I have no general connectivity problem and can access any site during the frequent Borgata disconnects.
My next step (after being locked out of their software) was to try to access Borgata's poker site (hoping to play through my browser). I not even get to the site (my brower would try to connect but could not -- though it could connect to any other site.
I chatted with a Borgata poker rep (Filip) this am (1/30/2015) who asked me to send him videos of my connection problems, so I did that. He said he would forward them to the team who would make a decision as to whether I am entitled to a refund of my buy-in.
Hoping that this was a fluke, I tried again tonight, 1/30/2015. I entered the same tourney ($1000 gtd rebuy). UGH... disaster. Again, the tourney was *unplayable* due to frequent disconnects. Again, my Borgata software eventually locked up -- and (again) when I attempted to restart Borgata it would not restart. So -- locked out completely to be blinded out after spending another $10. BTW, similarly, I could not access Borgata's web site through my browser though it worked for every other site I tried.
I expect that they will do the right thing and return the $20 I invested in these tourneys (and if they are good business people, maybe include something for my trouble!). It has been so aggravating!
Borgata reps -- if you read this, reply to it! Let us all know how you plan to resolve!
If anyone is interested, I have lots of video of the problems I experienced.
