Hi all,

We’d like ask for your feedback on our $50K Sunday tournament please…

Sunday’s event was a great success, and thank you to all who played or tried to qualify for being a part of that, although we have noted that some of you stated you would like the tournament to start earlier or have less starting chips.

We’ve created a poll with 6 different options. Voting is open until 23:59 ET on Sunday evening and we’d love to hear your feedback.

Thanks in advance for your time

I dont see the stack sizes being a problem if its moved 3 hours earlier. IF the time had to be kept the same for some reason, smaller stacks make sense. In any case, as a player I appreciate you asking player feedback like this.

I do. 5k stacks would make this tournament better. People just fold forever and ever with big stacks and it drags it out longer than it should be.

5k stacks double chance?

This plus make the start time earlier. I'm a working stiff and with start time now there is no way I can play in it. I get up to early to play until 3 am. I never enter a tourney unless I will be able to finish it.

5k with double chance, now that's something I would be ok with, but seeing how it wasnt a voting option, ill stick with the 3 hours same stack vote for now

How about feedback as to why your idiot ass ignores the fact that I am still blocked and email support just ignores my emails.

how about that to start with.

It is great you are asking feedback. I did not play in the tournament so I don't have much to say. It looks like the payouts were horrible(20%ITM) way to much. As for the poll I think there are other options you should consider. Like instead of changing the startring stack maybe change the blinds. Say take 5 mins off first 6 levels then add them to levels 7-13. For the timing of the tournament I would say if it ends before 1-2am it would be acceptable for me. It a Sunday so I think you could push it up like 5hrs if you really wanted.

Maybe you could open a thread just for game related suggestions. I am looking forward to playing this tourney in the future when it gets bigger.

suggestion how about a $5 rebuy and a $50 freezeout

I hope you keep getting feedback from the players.

I think all can agree that an earlier start time is necessary. I played both of the 50ks so far and do like the tournament and the structure. i think starting sometime around 5-6pm will be better for people who want to hop in this tournament while watching sunday football, done their errands for the day, etc and not have to commit to a 3am+ finish time. start the tournament at 5 or 6 oclock leaves the finish around 1-2am. IMO 1:30am is a huuuuuge difference for people who work on monday mornings vs the 3-3:30am end time.

I like the SS, I like the structure, some great deep stacked play early on and play is about 4 hours until the money is reached. This leaves people who invest the 200 into this tournament somewhat satisfied that they at least get to play around for a couple hours, even without cashing. i know, I know, poker players don't want to invest maximum time to bubble a tournament- but recreational players need to feel like they got sometime for their money- the playing time in the "high stakes major tournament" is what they're

I logged in just to vote for the 3 hour earlier start-time. I played the first two 50k tournaments and the table chat was all in agreement that it started way too late. I think the 10k stacks are fine though. I do agree that the structure is a little too flat and too many players ITM but that is a schedule-wide complaint not specific to the 50k.

PartyRep, when would any change be implemented?
12-15-2013 , 02:20 PM
Starting time needs to be around 4 or 5 pm. There would be a bigger turnout. More working players like myself will sign up.

Missed the poll - now it's closed apparently. I'd like to voice support for move the starting time earlier by 1-3 hours and keep starting stack the same. Why change that?
12-17-2013 , 08:52 AM
1-3 hours earlier fine, i just ran it for the first time and wouldn't mind if it stayed the same even...but if you change that starting stack from 10k to 5k, rest assured I'll be running the 888 $200 on sundays and not the party $200...thanks

Why? I'd like to hear your reasons that 10 is better than 5.

he prefers 10k over 5k...he doesn't mind the extra tourney time in exchange for the chance that a fish will make a huge mistake with deep stacks

he disagrees with you so it's time to start the ban petition imo

Any news on starting time change? Is that a possibility?

We’ve listened to our players’ feedback and we’re rolling out a new and improved $50,000 Tournament this Sunday, February 9th. Main upgrades to the Sunday $50K include; improved structure, $10,000 GTD up top and a 5:00pm start time with late registration ending at 8:00pm. We would like to thank our players, as well as Matt Savage, Mike Sexton and Tab Duchateau for the suggestions.

So you call completely butchering the structure an 'improvement' thats interesting...no wonder why wsop is passing you

with that said, 5pm start time is fine even 4 would be ok, 10k up top is great too, but the blind increase per level is absurd

If it was moved up 3 hours because 21 people in a very nonscientific poll wanted to, it could be dangerous. Maybe should consider 1 hour initially for a few weeks and if the number of runners increases at a better rate than other tournaments that didn't change schedules, you move it up another 1 hour. This seems like a big risk if based on a vocal minority vs silent majority.

lol

i just...

the whole point that everyone made was that you guys have a really good structured tournament that's just at too late of a time.

now, i agree that the structure was simply too slow, and this could have been fixed in a number of ways..however, why on earth would you get rid of so many levels later in the tourney?

getting rid of the early levels when we're 500bb deep was VERY good.

getting rid of 250/500 and 600/1200 and 6k/12k was VERY bad. please add them back.

like, you completely destroy the tournament when you're deep and at the final table.

how hard is it to make a decent structured tournament at a reasonable time? it's not hard to comprehend that players dont' want to stay up until 2am to make $0 or min-cash. however, players don't want a total crapshoot deep in the tourney.

in other words: faster in the beginning is ok as long as it's slow near the end.

let me say that again, faster in the beginning is ok as long as it's SLOW near the end.

one more time, maybe you guys will understand it....faster structure in the beginning = good....slow structure in the end when all the money is on the line = good

players asked to simply move the time up and fix the PAYOUT structure. every was in great agreement that the tourney structure was very good.

if you want to make it faster, you honestly could have cut out the first 4 levels of the tournament and still would have a GREAT tournament. instead you took out random levels in the middle and at the end which is completely horrible and destroys the entire structure

thank you for clarifying exactly what I meant when I said they butchered the structure, I should not have assumed they would be smart enough to figure that out when they claimed to have 'improved' the structure, I also agree that removing the first few levels would have been fine, party go back to the exact same structure please, start it off at 30/60 or 50/100 instead of 10/20 and I think EVERYONE will be happy...also maybe try adding some non-hyper turbo or regular structured satellites during the week and I think it will start to go over the 50k guarantee

Thanks again for all of your feedback, we truly appreciate it. We're continuing to review and improve our tournament offering and your suggestions and feedback are very important.

With regards to the new Sunday $50k, we have made a number of changes in light of what you've told us. Firstly, we have reinstated the 600/1200, 6,000/12,000 and 60,000/120,000 levels. In addition to this, we have removed some of the early levels - 10/20, 20/30 and 30/60 - and replaced them with 25/50. These changes, together with the earlier start time of 5:00pm, should now result in the Sunday $50K concluding at a reasonable hour.

You can see the full blind structure here:

Please continue to suggest any improvements you'd like to see to our tournament offering - we'll take them all on board and make adjustments where possible.

Thanks as always.
