From 2nd place to a min-cash b/c of geolocation From 2nd place to a min-cash b/c of geolocation

Decided to play the 2K GTD, $2 R+A tonight, and had probably the best 1st hour I've ever had, amassing 54K in chips. This was good for 2nd place, but being the greedy SOB I am, decided to add on 4500 to steal the Chip Lead. A few hands after the break, it happened.

Spoiler:

I closed the client and reopened it, only to be greeted by this blank login screen (I have my wi-fi networks showing b/c they always try to say you need at least 3 in range, well I have plenty more than 3.):

Spoiler:

I restarted my computer a few times, installed Java to try and run the web client, but all to no avail. I ended up blinding out for a min-cash.

Spoiler:

As stated in the Sunday 50K thread about this issue, this isn't an isolated incident. I'm not sure how many players were allowed to stay on during this period, but apparently a lot of us were kicked off around the same time. I believe we should be given some type of compensation (T$ ?) or refunds (for add-ons that just ended up being blinded away). I feel I lost quite a bit of equity in this tournament, and I'm not the only one feeling this way according to these threads:

We experienced brief technical issues on 03/08/2013 and 03/09/2013 due to which players on few tournaments were disconnected and could not resume the tournament as their log-in credentials were not accepted.
The issue has been resolved, all the tournaments affected were cancelled and eligible players were refunded in accordance with our cancellation policy. We apologize for the inconvenience. Questions about refunds can be clarified by contacting Customer Care.
Kind regards,

I don't know why, I just think the title of this thread would make a cool book title.

Would bet my roll you could have deposited while you were locked out for geo location issues.

Recieved ~$16 today from the decision that was made, bringing my total cash from this tourney to $32.51, or about 9th place money. I can dig it, thank you for fixing this PartyPoker. Hopefully everything works out for the $50K peeps.
